As much as I respect and admire Kwesi Appiah for his service to Ghana in football, he wasn't ready to handle the Black Stars especially the caliber of professional players. Coaching is not just knowing the game but the ability to understand and communicate effectively with your players and also seeking their welfare off the playing field. GFA never respected Appiah and never gave him the chance to be independent and it was bad for our team.

We have local based players, African based players and experienced defenders who could have played in this game vs rwanda and beaten them soundly. You ignored them and went with foreign based players. This game should have ended in a draw, in all fairness.

You cannot discount the condition of the Amahoro pitch. The condition of the turf was atrocious, to put it mildly. Black Stars are used to playing in top class football fields.

When a social network like yours tries to push people's expectations up beyond reality, it leaves a lot to be desired. Why should you always expect that Ghana should win and win big? Is that what life has always been? And why do you want to make football lovers scorn the achievement of the national team? A win is a win and they have won; on a shoddy pitch, which you fail to acknowledge.
Insofar as the team won, all we need to do is to help them perform better. This is not the time to point fingers. When to point fingers is the time we sell our best players to big teams in Europe and the like, because we refuse to patronise our own league matches and sit back to complain that they are substandard. If we stop watching the EPLs, Ligue 1, La liga and Bundesliga etc, and walk to the different stadia every midweek and weekend to support our home teams, there will be enough funds generated to pay the players well and maintain the pitches so that theses players are well groomed to be more patriotic to their nation instead of letting them pay more allegiance to their clubs abroad.
All the predictions are simply what we want the team to do for us, but what we want is not always what we get. We should be satisfied for now and encourage the team to make steady progress. If we are patient with the players, we shall certainly make great headway. If however, we burden them with unrealistic expectations, we lead them to make mistakes because they try as much as possible to fulfil our unrealistic wants.
