The person who reported the matter to the CID is the person who opened the matter for public discussion, and not Mr Freddy Blay or the Treasurer who were forced to defend themselves in the public domain.

If all sides had respected the internal investigations and did not report the matter to the CID without authorization, nobody would have heard about it except those of you at the top. In fact, heads could have even rolled at the end of the investigation without us knowing all these damning details.

Therefore, the guy who reported the case to the police is responsible for taking the matter to 'public court' and mischievously deepening cracks in the NPP party.

Addo is stifling this party and those around him are not advising for fear of his hot temper. But the truth is that the party is disintegrating with Afoko/Agyepong's followers watching keenly. Addo should not underestimate the following of this guys; he needs total cooperation & support from all party members to challenge NDC - period. Without this, the NDC will have a field day come Dec 2016.
I statement by Agyepong really captures my imagination and shows how helpless the situation is.
The arrogant behaviour by the leader will not send the party anywhere because Addo's supporters alone cannot win him the election. A word to the wise is enough.

You’ll recall that when the unfortunate incident happened at the Goil Filing station at Circle, I was there with Nana, but what you don’t know is that after we had planned to go there, the car which was to convey us to the incident scene took off before I got to our supposed meeting at the time we had agreed. I had to drive and rush to meet Nana Addo at Circle. The same thing happened when we where going to James Town, I had to find my way there.

“Again when we were going to Akropong to express our condolence over the death of Okuapiman Hene, Nana Addo Dankwa, though I had repeatedly informed the entourage that I was waiting for them at Aburi to make the journey together, to my utmost surprise Nana Addo’s convoy swiftly drove past me. Once again I had to meet them at Akropong alone.

“What more can I do, I have a clear heart and I don’t hold anything against Nana Addo, the deliberate orchestrated attempt in the media to discredit me will fail.”

Two things. The first one concerning the Goil Filling Station incident shows the issue of time management. We all know how the agreed upon time becomes an hour later, or even two hours later after the agreed upon time. Maybe time management is something that needs to be revisited again so that the agreed upon time means you don't get there at the "agreed upon time" by Ghanaian standards, which translates into two hours after, but you get there about 45-60minutes before the agreed upon time. At the core of this incident is the issue of time management and the NPP party and the leadership would need to revisit it again and get an understanding of it, because we know Ghana and how time is managed.
At the UDS in Tamale, Ex-President Rawlings had cause to chastise John Mahama about the issue of time management and said he needed to be passed through the military for good training on the management of time.
The trip to Akropong and the request to stop at Aburi did not satisfy protocol. Hardly does one see convoys stopping when they are on the move for one to join them for a very good number of reasons. It is the other way round and even with that, one must be cleared before they can join the convoy, and the matter of one of the security personnel of the Accra Mayor shooting the tires of somebody who tried to join their convoy is evidence of the break in protocol.
There was no way the convoy was going to stop and if the Gen. Sec wanted to be part of the convoy, then he should have joined and began the journey with the convoy right from the onset.
This is much ado about nothing and the leadership of NPP should check their egos once again.

That is exactly what I suspected all along, when the report surfaced that Nana Akufo-Addo was going on such a tour without Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong.

This has always been the modus operandi of the Akufo-Addo faction: it would intentionally scheme to cut the two top NPP administrators out of vital events and then turn around to blame the two for undermining the campaign of Akufo-Addo.

I strongly believe that Akufo-Addo himself is silently behind the continued isolation of the two. He would take a podium and publicly blurb some phony commitment to working with the two, and before the next turn, he dumps them and act like he knows nothing about what happened.

It must be acknowledged that the behavior of the Akufo-Addo camp suggests it believes it can win the Presidency without the inputs of the two top Administrators and even all Alan Kyeremateng's and former President Kufuor's supporters.

If that is the case, let Akufo-Addo boldly declare that and stop hiding behind Blay, Amoako Baah and other shenanigans like Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. to do his dirty work for him. And the rest of NPP membership would sit by to expect his victory in 2016.
