The elections reports from 2012 show that the Biometric Voting System is inefficient for general elections.There has been reports of some Biometric Verification Machines which were unable to function properly during the polling day.The machines could not trace finger prints of voters due to technical problems.Now,NPP is saying the Biometric Voters Register is bloated with foreigners and under age.This confirms that the scanners in the Biometric Voters Register also have serious technical problems that has to be addressed.It's important to review the regulations on the biometric voting system.The technical aspect has to be addressed because the new register will still have thesame technical challenges.How credible are the Biometric Voting Equipment?Nobody is asking that question.Thank you.

After being exposed in Dr. Bawumia's presentation, Asiedu-Nketia has the nerves to tell Ghanaians that it was right for NDC to recruit foreigners across the border to vote because NPP was asking for Ghanaians in the diaspora, the right to vote. He meant they have the power to block some Ghanaians from their voting rights but will allow foreigners to vote huh? This is why the EC leadership must show Ghanaians hoe neutral, fair and credible the commission is by doing the right thing for Ghana. Ghana's would be seen as jokers if they can't.make simple decisions.

How credible are the Biometric Voting Equipment?According to the elections report from 2012 uptil now,the verification scanners sometimes fail to trace finger prints of some voters.Fortnately,the EC has reviewed the regulation of "no biometric verification no vote".This is in the right direction,we can verify people in different ways.The scanners of the biometric voters register are not capable to detect under age and foreigners.Therefore,calling for a new register with the same machines don't make any sense.We must find a way to fix the technical challenges too and not only the administrative ones.Thank you.
