  Just because of the fire disaster at the fuel pump on June 3 the chief fire officer has stopped all issuance of fire certificates. Is this logical and for how long will he deny issuance of fire clearance certificates to all establishments. As a result of his conduct majority of establishments are without valid fire certificates. How is this a shared responsibility when we have this type of behaviour from the chief fire officer. Any fire that occurs now the owner of the building will be wrongly accused of not having a valid certificate. The state must put the right type of people in at the right positions not such characters.
