There are so many ways of killing a cat. Some difficult, others less difficult. NPP claims they have identified about 76,000 ineligible voters on the register and this is good enough. They should present such names to the Electoral Commission for study and possible removal from the register. Those who are calling for the compilation of a new register for the 2016 elections I believe that they are aware of how much it will cost the nation to do so. The NPP is very eager to create confusion after they have lost the 2016 elections. When the NPP went to court in 2012, WHY DID THEY NOT INCLUDE A BLOATED VOTERS' REGISTER IN THEIR PETITION? A brand new voters register will create a much bigger problem for us come 2016. After the compilation of a new register for the 2016 elections, the NPP will raise another issue again which will mar the entire election in 2016. There are many ways of killing a cat; some easy and less expensive and others difficult and problematic and expensive. A new register will definitely be problematic for Ghana.

In their haste to publish their findings,NPP failed to inform ist gulible members that,there are both NDC and NPP members making a living in Togo,Burkina Faso,Ivory Coast,Benin and Nigeria just to mention but few.Majority of these Ghanaians making a living in neighbouring countries are NPP members.They deal in second Hand clothing aka bend down Boutique and other petty trading.Some of These Ghanaians eventually make it to Europe and they are proud to tell their stories.

They said,to stay in those countries one must have an identity Card and nationality;documents some still have.They said they took part in local and national elections in those countries.Those who do not make it to Europe however return to Ghana to take part in our electoral System thereby having their Names appearing in more than one Country.

The way Forward is for NPP to release these names to all political parties including the electoral commission for scrutiny.Where genuine foreigners are found on our Register,those names be remove from the list without any much I do.

Those calling for new voter Register are disingenuous.The cost involve to our debt striken economy would be monumental and what is important is,whether NPP will call for another voter Register in the Event that this same Problem Pop up again?.

The Nkrumaist parties will have to merge first in order to enhance their chances of ever winning elections in Ghana.

On the question of the VOTERS REGISTER, the idea of National Identification Authority compilling a National Data Base is a laudable idea. However, that idea may be just too late to be of help for compilling a completly new VOTERS REGISTER as we hardly have enough time for that exercise if it has to be a thorough work. The NIA would require more than the mere fourteen months remaining before the General Election, unles the DOCTOR wants to rush EC into performing a shoddy work so as to turn round to bash it.

Everybody agrees that our Biometric Voters Register is not perfect and should be reviewed.This brings the credibility of the Biometric Voting System into question.Remember,the Biometric Verification machine could not function properly during the elections day.It could not even trace peoples finger prints,what a failure?For this same reason the EC have reviewed the "no verification no vote" slogan because we can effective verify people manually too.That is what Nigeria did.If you are now telling me that the Biometric Voters Register is not credible then it confirms that the whole Biometric Voting System is not credible.How could our regiter get bloated with minors and foreigners?It simply means that the Biometric Voting Register is not capable to detect difference of ages and nationalities,so credible is it?I think it makes sense to review it rather than to call for new one with the same technology,it won't change anything.Thank you.

Do you sincerely believe that a new bio metric register will not have the same challenges as the present. The minors who registered the last time are now of age. new minors will enter the register.
The NIA has not completed its work in in so many regions. Maybe you have an NIA id card. Half or more than half of Ghanaians donot hav.

They should call for the EC commissioners and officials to be prosecuted or stay away from the 2016 elections. The register was corrupted and/or FAKED by the EC and NDC officials. IT IS ALSO LIKELY THEY WOULD DO THE SAME TO ANY NEW REGISTER. SO THE NPP should insist on the PROSECUTION OF ALL THE COMMISSIONERS or refuse to participate in any elections with those officials still there and insist on new measures to instill discipline in any new registration exercise.
