If he was not a high achiever academically, that does not mean that he was also low achiever creatively.
Don't be a fool.
Know the difference, or ask Gates, Buffet, Zuckerberg.

I am the prime example. I was terrible and had to take my O' levels twice but my family did not give up on me.I saw the light when i got to sixth form by the skin of my teeth and never looked back after that.
The British Prime Minister also was bottom of his class in primary and secondary school, also ended up in Oxford and is now making big decisions.
It's not how you start but how you finish.Don't give up on your under-achieving children.

Ghanaians always looking for excuses since 24 feb,1966.There are so many opportunities around for one to excel, its not always about what course you studied in school, its about what made out of all the knowledge you have aquire since you were born to the time you complete school. How many wealthy men or women do we see around bosting or parading their certificates. They create jobs with their minds for the certificate holders to chase them for employment. Its all about being able to spot all the numerous opportunities around and making good use of it.If we make good use of that entrepreneural culture we wont be bothered about going to the university by hook or crook even if we are give a course that is of no interest to us.

I think I could be the best president for Ghana, if happen to gain the opportunity. Atleast, I would never sign contracts that would not benefit the country today and the near future because of civilised logics. I would made laws that would turn ourraw materials to some form of process items before it leaves the nation to provide essentives to the citizens, no matter what. Industries would provide some restorations to the environment, especially the mining industries. Talking to me should not come from intimadations or scares.

Bravo youngman. But the journalist has done more harm than good to your reputation. Do you know why? He has cleverly disgraced you but at same time used to to just advertise DATABANK. He didnt say anything to show your effort you made to arrive at your present position. It appears you rode on the back of your father who was once a vice-chancellor to arrive at your present position. If you disagree then tell the world the hard way you passed through like Prince Kofi Amoabeng of UT BANK, Sam Jonah former AngloGold boss, Alhaji Asuman Banda of Antrack, Kofi Kludjeson of Datalink and many business monguls tell their stories from their humble beginings. So please tell your story and stop the advert they are using you for at Databank

Betty What perhaps he did not add is KOJO is a team player and has an excellent interpersonal skill He is somebody who thinks outside the box and from afar he is one person who is a problem solver I mean complex problem solver and has passion for anything he assigns himself to.so sometimes it's not about academic brilliance that is the key solution for success in life though you will need it but it goes beyond that matters but the passion.I don't know him personally because am in a difference profession medicine and he is elsewhere but Betty I got closer with ma big brother and he confirmed ma thoughts that guy is something else ma big brother worked closely with him at GCB get closer a few seconds and you will realise somebody with an extra ordinary skill.I did not know until now that he played football all the time but on a platform he is an achiever

Kojo, congratulations. Such people like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs made it in life despite the fact that they were not academically good in class at first; but with determination and seriousness, at a later stage in their lives, they are now a force to reckon with; though Jobs could not live long to enjoy the fruits of his labour.
With determination and seriousness all things are possible in live; a typical example is in the person of Dr. Adu Anane-Antwi, if the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Well done Kojo, for not 'blowing' your chance away.

Kojo is just being truthful about his academic journey. I was the last to be admitted in my program at Uni because of my grades but I was among the best 10 of about 55 students. Everyone indeed has his or her time to excel. I understand the network the father had pushed him but that would be the case for anyone who had the same connections. If he was sneaked into b school while more qualified students could not get the chance, that will simply not be fair but the point he is trying to make is worth paying attention to. I would say I know Kojo and his younger brother who was my classmate at Persco. Although Kojo was not like one of the top guys, he was disciplined enough to be able to develop himself to the best that he could. One other thing that I know for a fact is that, our university staff in Ghana generally have some privileges when it comes to the admission of their kids into the Uni-as a form of appreciation for their hard work especially in those days when their paycheck was nothing. His father just did what the Universities have accepted and been doing for years. Can that change? Sure! But I will not blame him or the father for wrong doing at at all.
