Konongo is not a village or in remote area for anybody to say it is difficult to monitor what is going on there,it is a town on the Accra/ Kumasi Highway that people in authority should be able to monitor very well.

Are there laws in Gh? Where are the institutions? who is responsible for the Indians (non-licence)buying gold in konongo/odumasi? who is responsible for the Chinese (non-licence) mining in konongo/odumasi? what do you expect if foreigners can operate illegally/ invade your town/ country, taking the local registered entrepreneurs/ artisans from business without any alternative solution. The land or houses offer the tool for the locals to bid for a better price when they face these foreigners. Send your people to konongo/odumasi for better understanding on the activities of these foreigners. Find alternative solutions for the locals before you can think of solving this menace
