Mr.Wontumi, could you still remember that the P/NDC party with the endorsement of former EC boss used fake indelible ink for elections in 1992 and 1996, which was part of the rigging mechanism for stealing verdicts until proper indelible ink was secured for the country in 2000 by Craig Murray? What is the use of an EC boss who could not differentiate between fake and genuine indelible ink and its importance in the electoral process? We are yet to see what the new EC would do to further deepen democracy in our country to ensure free and fair elections because; actions speak louder than words.

Contrary to what the discredited former EC Chairman said, there are many examples of how elections are rigged far away from polling stations, and the corrupted voters' register could be used to rig elections, especially, when the "no verification no vote" has already been eliminated by the EC in favor of NDC. We believe that NDC is again preparing to rig the elections through the old bloated voters' register, and Asiedu Nketia is fighting to keep the loophole intact, despite the fact that the Supreme Court recommended a new voters' register and all the other parties support it except, of course, the NDC party. NDC is resisting any attempt to compile a new voter's register because they are con-men with con plans.

To go to some ones country because of material means does not make you a citizen. You need to integrate your self in their system and furfil other requirements that is of benefits to the country. Due to the constitution of NDC, it allows foreigners to enter our country and vote contra NPP and pro NDC.

You should also bear in mind the principle of dual nationality et al ....the natural phenomena of migration to seek greener pasture and human security as inalienable parts of human nature which is more poignant in the African case because of the imposed borders on us ...... My fear for NPP is that winning elections is about numbers and it is sending out all the wrong signals .....alienating people who might vote one day, be it second or third generation immigrants...,...ALSO bear in mind the story of pre ECOWAS Aliens Compliance Order.... What we demand is the closure of all loopholes in our electoral system to prevent any party, now or in the future, from engaging in electoral thievery. We believe that the elimination and systematic reduction of electoral thievery coordination blind spots will effectively save our country from potential threats that could destroy our peaceful coexistence and steady development in the near future.

We, therefore, reject the misleading arguments you and Mr. Nketia are making to bury the truth between another Azorka boys and Bolga Bull Boys scenario to prevent cleaning up the register for the benefit of all the political parties in Ghana. You are a disgrace for calling yourself an independent presidential candidate with this type of backward ideas because you should've been calling for a level ground to compete freely, fairly and democratically. During elections there is the issue of bussing people to boost the list in areas where we are weak, the is the issue of minors being registered, there is the issue of intentionally disallowing people who are pecievedto be in the wrong ethnic group in an area, but for the biometric there was the issue of padding with ghost names. Which method under the sun can cure the ills I have highlighted? It is only if we are civil, God fearing and truthful. Merely scraping the existing one and replacing it does not guarantee credibility.Let us as a nation know that machoism has brought us this far which we don't like, to change needs civility, truthfulness and fear of the living God.

How many times are we going to change the voters' register and what guarantees do we have that those 76000 people will not appear on the voters register again. For all you know they all have Ghanaian passports and are entitled to vote.
Secondly, why single out only the Volta Region as culprits when the people of the Volta Region are not the ones that compile the voters register but the EC.
Is it any suprise that the people from the Volta Region don't vote NPP?These are one of the main reasons.
The NPP has failed us bigtime and unfortunately we will be having these dead goats running things for another 4 years or more until the NPP elects new leaders who treat every Ghanaian as one people regardless of which tribe they belong to.

Mr. Mahama should've waited for the Supreme Court ruling on the matter before appointing the lady, and there was no need for him to rush in order to jump the gun. We believe that he panicked because there is a real possibility that the SC would decide against their myopic, narrow and dictatorial interpretation of the constitution that allows the president to appoint an EC boss including its members contrary to fair play and common sense. Those who argue against his powers to do so substantively have valid and concrete points. One of them is that since the president is also a political player, he should not be allowed to substantively appoint the referee, and we don't believe the constitution allows such a thing.

No matter the type of cut and paste constitution we may have, we don't believe the framers intended to give undue advantage to one political player over all the others. Even though we know that it was written under the P/NDC military dictatorship that wanted to control every institution to its advantage, and twisted the neck of Article 70(2) to appoint the first EC chairman in order to perpetuate their rule, it does not mean that it was the right thing to do and we should not allow the undemocratic process to continue indefinitely in our democratic dispensation.

Appointment of the Judiciary is similar to that of the EC chairperson. The constitution does not give the president authority over the selection of this class of people in the system because; they are expected to be independent and impartial in discharge of their duties. If the president were to have substantive powers in their selection and appointment, that would ultimately compromise the independence and impartiality required of them implicitly or explicitly. They are not in the category of his ministers or those in the executive branch where he has complete hire and fire powers under the constitution, and are not expected to be independent of the president's decisions. Also, they leave office when the president leaves but the judiciary and the EC chairperson will remain after the president's term of office to serve Ghana and not a particular administration.

The issue is not the president being subservient to the judiciary or the council of state as some are trying to portray; the measures put in place are critical checks and balances to prevent the executive from dominating the other branches of government in the system, which if allowed to happen by given him substantive powers to appoint and fire them, the situation could easily metamorphose into an autocracy now or in the future. For instance, who will impeach or judge the president if he over steps his constitutional powers or commits a crime? It will definitely be the judiciary. And who will act as a referee between him and other political players during elections? It will surely be the EC. So the president cannot be allowed under the constitution to substantively appoint them.

At every stage of Ghana's development these affiliates and antecedents of this party have brought the country backwards and it is time the whole people of Ghana demand progress not retrogression.
Education and proper education in civics and nation building is the key this is where the NCCE should build educational curricula for our schools.
It has come to the notice of many a sundry that the selfish demands of the NPP is to balloon the national budget needed for productive enterprises is misdirected in useless area and therefore destroying the cedi even more.
Here is the BAWUMIA SCHEME, this is trained economist who knows very well the overexpenditure during election years and to demand this countrywide re-registration is to create a further huge inflationary spiral during the election year of 2016. Hence, further making NDC unpopular and they should be equally resisted by the NDC

She's pretending to be so independent but it's a lie; she being pressured by John Mahama and the NDC to reject calls by NPP and other political parties to compile a new voters register. The NDC have been exposed in Dr. Bawumia's power point presentation to the media in which over 76,000 Togolese voters IDs and names have been found to have been imported into Ghana's electoral data.

Up to this time in our political history, some Ghanaians still believe that cheating in an election is just fine and to them they always comment that elections are won at the polls but not in the court house etc. This has given the NDC the false notion that they can always manipulate election and win no matter the consequences. For how long would people allow their faith to be determined by cheaters and foreigners?

The new EC boss should not toy with lives of Ghanaians when it's evident that the NDC has been rigging elections since 1992 and won't be allowed to continue to cheat. There can be civil unrest or war when any party tries to cheat again. It's time for the EC to do what is right and stop pretending that everything is just fine. Things are not fine!

I think what is necessary now is a clean up of the existing register book. For instance the EC could be helped to look for dead people still having their names in the register and clean up all those foreigners illegally registered to decide for our political leaders here in the country which is not unacceptable.

The system used is the same diabolical system the NDC government is fighting against in the accountant general's pay book which is criminally full with ghost names.

So why same NDC government is against the critical look at the existing voters register for cleaning?

I heard the lady Electoral Commissioner spoke and she called for help from all the political parties and hope without any diabolical hidden agenda from any party, they will all honestly listen to her humble appeal for peaceful, transparent and acceptable elections come 2016.
