What!!! "No, please"? Here in America? That's Ghanaian talk!! Why "No, please"? Why not simply "yes" or "no"? Or "yep" as the Americans would rather say? And "Yes, Sir"? What the heck! I overheard a lady on a phone saying, "me pa wo ky3w, yoo" Translate into "I beg you, yes". Funny, isn't it? That's how Ghanaians show respect. Americans don't mind much about "Yes Sir" It doesn't mean anything to the them. You hear this only in the military to show ranks and authority. "Are you a Ghanaian?" "Yes, please". Wo yare!!!
