I NOW UNDERSTAND WHY DR, KWAME NKRUMAH INTRODUCED THE PREVENTIVE DETENTION ACT (PDA), AND IMPRISONED MOST OF THE OPPOSITION MEMBERS AT THAT TIME. After years of training engineers with Ghanaian and foreign scholarships both at home and abroad, it is mind boggling that we have to still depend on foreign aid to understand and make use of our environment to generate the need energy requirement for our country.

Nothing is free. If we do not learn to do things for ourselves, we will only be digging into new holes if we carry on our incessant dependence on foreign aid, loans and grants for everything.
All our leaders know and fight over, is who is good at attracting more foreign 'breast milk' instead of how do we tap into our God given brain power. Useless people.

Well said, Honesty. Can't we think or do anything for ourselves? Part of this MCC thing requires govt to settle its debts to ECG. If they did that, we wouldn't have the problems we're experiencing with power supply.

For those who have truly followed Ghana's development schedule since the SAP through HIPC, GAB, and even the incredulous BGA, this compact is nothing but what we had set out to do, but didn't have the balls to do it because of the vocal few on radio, e.g. "Chief se bo glass" blindly supported by the gullible voting majority. So we are back again to the road to Kukurantumi, we didn't go previously, we deceived ourselves into thinking we did go, now here we are where we were! We got to take our long prescribed medicine now, and a better, determined, knowledgeable team and lead doctor to supervise us. Poor Ghana, unhelpful Parliament, and can't leave out the Executive, judiciary, fourth estate, you and I.
