It may come with the added price but it's worth every dime and nickle. I am talking from experience. I bought 2 plots sometime ago. One from a developer and the other through family from an individual. To make a long story short,I have only one plot now and your guess for which plot it is is as good as mine. If you take out the fact that it is a church building, i do not see anything wrong with what they guy has done if indeed he is the rightful owner of the land.
It is about time Ghanaian s starts telling the true in their raw state.
Don't we all knows what our chiefs has been doing when it comes to sale of lands. Some of them are now top criminals when it comes to land sales.
Pray that it does not ever happen to you, for you will do worse thing than what the guy has done.

- Are you aware many officers at Amasaman Police station appear to be in league with "land dupers"? (I've personal experiences).
Let us cut out "sympathy", sentiments, sectionalism, etc out and find solutions to such problems.

Yes, Oman Ba Pa has no right or justification to insult Mr. Donkor since he even do not know half of the story yet. We are all of a victim to the land issue in the system, especially Greater Accra in particular with Amasaman leading the chart due to some claim of a new airport terminal to be build in that enclave. The Chiefs in Accra are so dictated by greed that selling a piece of land to multiple clients has become their daily ritual as if enshrine in their various chieftaincy strolls. It has, in fact, become so terrible that the foregone American ambassador to Ghana voiced his disdain to that practice of theirs before leaving office back to the US. Ghana need massive investment and Accra is the starting block, yet numerous land litigations across board are making it almost impossible to achieve that dream and if something is not done soon, we can certainly forget about any meaningful investment to come. It's that simple.

What has NPP Chairman thing got to do with a dispute between a local Chief and a somebody claiming to be a rightful owner of piece of land?
The politically influenced unethical journalists are trekking on very dangerous line likely to send this once united country to a long civil war more than what unfortunately happened in Ivory Coast if care not taken.
It's unfortunate for the country to have leadership with such diabolical hate for others and sees his people with different political views as enemies.
Mahama is more dangerous than anything for us to be unfortunate to have as a leader.

I have first hand knowledge of this land problem. It was around the same area, near mile 7.
And it goes back to the '80s; 1980 or whereabouts.
I had bought two plots of land and guided by my concept of American property rights-naively, looking back- left it undeveloped for maybe two years. It was even farmed by my own nephew and he knew where all the boundaries were, or where all the bodies were buried, at least that's what he assured me.
Now,here's the " switch and bait."
When I was ready to develop the pproperty my nephew told me he couldn't trace the land -the land he farmed on-hello. But, he knows the chief of the area who in his magnamity would sell me another two plots for my development.
Am not making this up, folks.
But, for anybody who ever watched that Paul Newman, Robert Redford flick "The Sting " knows it's only a knucklehead who would fall for that switch and bait and didn't bite on that deal.
Am making light of this ordeal-it's all in the past now. But, it's all too familiar. That's how these scumbags operate, and they sometimes connive with a trusted relative, like mine to rip you off. And they don't even change their tune.
But here's a solution. Just imagine, for once , this great economic scenario.
What , if this huge landmass called Africa has a system in place where the lands are registered in the names of their bonafide owners and such titles could be traded like anything of value for it's utility? Other countries have such systems in place, but Africa.
If such a system were ever established and implemented Africa would be such an economic powerhouse our youth would not risk their lives over the Mediterranean for the so-called greener pastures.
To me, absence of this basic economic imperative is the bane of the continent and it's a tragedy.
