After the nonsense in Brazil the sports ministry must be dreaming. Don't become too stubborn because even the young players will not kill themselves to play for Ghana with this confrontational approach

  It's not only doctors and workers who are being affected by the poor management of our economy, now NDC want to rubbish our National Team players too. Now it is clear that the NDC can't do anything good for Ghana as things continue to fall apart; now everything is in disarray. The economy is in distress there's no money to pay bonuses. But instead of admitting their failure they're rubbishing our Black Stars. Hmm!

  I disagree. "SOME" Players may need the Blackstars to raise their profiles but majority don't. Most of these guys already have clubs paying them good money so it doesn't matter if they get called up or not.

  ...while most people will say it should be an honor to represent your country which I agree, but we can't treat this players like they are little kids. You can sit down with the players/talk about the issue and come to an agreement. I'm sure the $5,000 will not be an issue. After all they make more money, but Its the concept of saying "take it or leave it"..... you can't disrespect the players like that. This is the reason why african football is not going anyway. We think we can just do things anyhow and talk to players as if they are 5 yr olds. I thought the incident in Brazil would've thought us a big lesson. SMH

  I wouldn't argue as well that such countries are better off than Ghana in terms of their economy and other factors.you and I as well as the footballers must admit the state of Ghana's economy and show a bit patriotism.you and I have once been in the public sector before and in on one or two ways,we showed some level of patriotism.
  Ghana's health,education etc sectors are financially suffering so it's time we realize this and push the nation's scarce resources to those sectors to save lives instead of giving all to only the footballers
