Takoradi airstrip must be upgraded to an international airport.

The Twin city has strategic importance to our economy as the second port, hub of our nascent oil industry, rail terminus, thermal plant, naval base and fishing harbour. It is the capital of the Western region, economic powerhouse of our country.

An international airport will provide air links to the rest of the world and enhance economic development.

THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THIS AIRPORT ISSUE IS TO BUILD A NEW AIRPORT. THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF OUR COUNTRY MUST BE OUR AIRPORT. LOOK AT ANGOLA, ETHIOPIA AND CONGO THEY ARE ALL BUILDING VERY MODERN AIRPORTS. GHANA WAKE UP.

That Prampram airport is not needed,we don't need two international airports in Accra,even the people in that area as usual are already fighting over name rights,it is our greed and corruption that has landlocked Kotoka selli ...

That Prampram airport is not needed,we don't need two international airports in Accra,even the people in that area as usual are already fighting over name rights,it is our greed and corruption that has landlocked Kotoka selling the land to people but we can still use the available land for expansion.

What I don't understand is,they are saying they are going to build terminal 3 but I don't see anything anywhere that looks like Kotoka has two terminals which we are going to build the third unless we don't know what a terminal is,that airport is only international airport on paper but it doesn't reach that standard even comparing to some airports in Africa.

Personally, I doubt if the full amount if the loan will be used for the stated purpose. I've no doubt some or most of it will be consumed by govt expenditure. It's the govts way of circumventing IMF borrowing limits.
