We must know that it would consume about 5 tons of fuel per day to operate it smoothly. Solar Energy is the best route and cost effective

Expand the pay as you go meter system and clamp on illegal connections and non payments. Efficient management of these basic necessities for fair rates will stop workers from excessive demands in pay raises etc.

The dumso solution is not about bringing new power barges into the country.I am saying this because we do have Thermal Power Plants already in the country that could generate more power extra power if they are properly managed. If you bring in even 20 new power barges and you are unable to supply them with feul and gas on regular basis then ofcourse dumso will continue. What I am trying to convey is that if VRA and the private thermal power stations can supply the plants with gas and feul regularly then nobody will be talking about dumso again and we will not even need these new power barges. In short,I think the dumso is a political strategy for the NDC.I am saying this because if they can buy gas and feul for these new power barges then why can't VRA buy gas and feul for Aboadze Thermal Plants for them to generate maximum power?Asgoli Thermal Plants, all have never generated to their maximum capacities because of gas and feul shortages.I am afraid these new power barges will suffer the same fate thus dumso continues.Thank you.

Of course, rates should go up; nothing is free in this modern world! Ghanaians should travel abroad and see. In democratic market economies prices go up all the time. Ghana is not practising socialism; is it?
