In any civilized democratic country, the Minister of Interior or the police Chief would have already left office by now because they failed Ghanaians miserably. Immediately after the violence, NDC officials started to propagate that it was a mob fight between NDC and NPP supporters, and the Interior Minister shamefully joined in and said that "violence begets violence". He forgot that it was his duty through the security forces to investigate the matter thoroughly and tell Ghanaians who did what since arms and thumb-printed ballot papers were confiscated from some people.

These specific crimes or exhibits could have led us to the real criminals behind the shootings and stuffing of ballot boxes. But our unprofessional police preferred to toe the line of those in power by claiming that they were going to prosecute ghosts rather than follow the available leads. In the recent suicide bombing that took place at a mosque in Kuwait, the security officers identified and arrested the owner of the car that took the suicide bomber to the mosque and followed it up with the arrest of the driver. From there, the investigations led to the masterminds and accomplishes of the heinous crime.

Why didn't our security forces investigate the leads or exhibits that could have lead us to the bigger picture, rather than glossed over them as if they confiscated the AK-47s, cutlasses and thumb-printed ballot papers from the air? Our security forces, like the government including Mr. Woyongo, are trying to generalize the issue and incriminate others in order to bury the truth between Azorka boys and Bolga Bull Boys, blindfold Ghanaians and cover the government's own tracks. Ghanaians deserve better.

When the Woyome daylight robbery broke out, the first reaction was to arrest the former minister of sports and others related to the award of the contract. Till today, the real rogues who, on the basis of a piece of rumpled A4 paper, corruptly got the state to cough up millions of the taxpayer's money are walking free, with some actually holding positions of responsibility.

In the D511 drill ship saga, even the supposedly neutral Appeals Court Judge has managed to come out with "adverse findings" against the former Attorney-General, while not one passing sentence was written on the person who caused the huge loss in the first place.

The arrest of innocent bystanders in the Nyafele cocaine case was another example!

Very soon, Ghanaians will not feel confident reporting wrongdoing to the security services anymore. We are gradually descending into mob rule.

Frankly, I think this government is a huge joke on the people of Ghana and international embarrassment to Ghanaians living everywhere. It is time for all thinking Ghanaians to come together to work for the end of this nightmare in December 2016!

Name calling during debates, justification without supporting evidences, blind assertions due to partisanship and, very often, sectional and tribal affinity, ignorance, shortsightedness with no sense of foreseeability, villification of source of truth, corruption, unwillingness to adapt to any progressive changes, lack of wisdom in decision making, hoodwinking the public , lack of accountability in all shades of demands, insensitivity to the plight of others, and above all dire headed approach to accepting wrongdoing and resigning for change. OH MOTHER GHANA !! We are in hooks for a long haul to doom should the abovementioned characteristics continue to define us.
To quote this debatable extract The President of this once great nation must bow his head in deep introspection to review his performance. The nation is ready to back him up if he takes the right action irrespective of politics or ideology : "How come that the Police succeeded in intercepting a vehicle which had a gun, hammers, machetes, axes and other offensive weapons and retrieved the weapons but released the vehicle and the occupants in no time?
