If this report about the construction of the western railway line is true, let us pray that the time has come where the politicians in power now, and those who may take over in the future, will rally around such a project for the bettermen6 of our dear nation. Can you imagine the jod opportunities a project like this will bring about? Not to talk about the positive economic revitalization of that part of Ghana where the rail line will be built. My prayer is that, the framework and blueprint of this project will be such that all successive governments will see it as their duty to ensure the implementation, completion and sustenance of this project.It is time that politicians put Ghana first before their personal agenda! Too much talks and paper work have become the character of, yet-to-be-provided, Western Railway Lines. Since the coup which removed Dr Nkrumah's government 50 years ago, successive regimes have talked about reconstructing the Western Railways, today as ever, the talking continues unabated. Money is still being thrown into the drain by engaging consultants about the project, but no physical thing is seen out of it. It's about time the talking and the promises stopped and the money used for consultancy directed to start the project in earnest.

Anything that is worth talking about in Ghana because it helps in our development came about because of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah the Katamanto of blessed memory. Had Nkrumah not been killed, all parts of Ghana and surely Africa will be served by railway lines. All that so called Ghanaian leaders after Nkrumah could do is to convert Nkrumah's Primary schools into Secondary Schools and Secondary Schools and Teacher Training Colleges into Universities with the same infrastrures that Nkrumah left behind.
Job 600 is what they are fighting for.
Some years ago I read that they have secured the loan to extend the railway line to Tumu. What happened? These Mahamas and Bawumias are just here to do the same thing that their fathers did to Nkrumah. I wonder why Ghanaians still don't care to know the history of Ghana's post independence lipservice socialists to shun their progeny. Like father like son.
We can only succeed by following Nkrumaism.

Luckily, this will be a Private Public partnership Venture but Chiefs, Students, Farmers, Businessmen and the Security Sectors need to be part of this. Lastly, we must all support and eschew corruption in awarding the contract, in the construction phase and in running the Train system. Above all these is the inculcation of the essence of Time and Cleanliness in the running of a Railway system.
