Have you heard of Andrew Solomon the US gay activist? Mahama is resting comfortably in his bosom and after supporting his campaign, why can Mahama declare his stance against homosexuals? John Mahama is a disgrace to Ghana and himself.

While most African leaders are distancing themselves from this gay issues, Mahama looks like he is "still born" when it comes to such issues.

The cause of these economic woes is Mahama's tribalism, nepotism, incompetence , selfishness, corruption and insane desire to rule at all costs . Just as the the Mayans of south America killed their leaders and ate their brains so pepeni killed the ideologist of the ndc Atta Mills to sit on his throne, didnt matter that he had no clue of how to build or develop a nation .He started by appointing mainly northerners who are as corrupt and incompetent as himself, where he appointed some one from another tribe he made sure he shadowed them with a pepeni chief director or deputy minister. In-fact half of these northerners by another strange twist are also actually related to him eg deputy minister of transport or chief director of our failing miserably Finance ministry. A president who can not trust or accept the citizens of the land and appoint people based on merit and competence is no president of mine and will surely fail .He then appointed his pepeni and intellectually inferior ministers so no one could challenge him or call him to order, what he desires the most is an authoritarian dictatorship so that's he secured obedience and loyalty at the expense of the constitution and the interests of the people. How many private sector investors have been rejected because they will or cant pay the bribes ? Without private capital govt borrowing only creates debt . He was not able to mobilize our last resource the diaspora to come and invest as when NDC came they made sure most of the business community incurred huge losses through abrogation of contracts , corruption and inflation of the cedi. First we had Kuffour who spent his 8 years of sophisticated corruption that made us loose control of our natural resources such as our gold and oil , then we had anther sorrow of an Ashanti minister of finance Duffuor whose was put there just to satisfy the balance of tribal politics but wrecked the economy by increasing govt borrowing and now advocated for hedging/gambling our oil , i wonder why they didn't first sell the golden stool or at least hedge it for the betterment of all of Ghana, no worries , when the war comes the stool will go for sure . Nkrumah allowed the primitive northerners and ewes to join Ghana in the hope that he could secure himself president for life with a dictatorship , had the USA allowed Mexico and all the other south American states to become part of their country they would never have developed as all that would have been their focus would be to rule even though they are not socially or intellectually ready to develop.Now its clear to all war is around the corner and elections may only turn out to be the spark that will bring about a fierce ethnic conflict leading to the breakup of the country as should have been over 100 years ago.

Every society has some dos and do nots when it come to sexual lifestyle. One cannot be legally polygamous in the Western world but can be homosexual. One can be almost nude in some parts of the world but not in the Islamic world. We need to respect each other's customs, religions and traditions. That is just plain and simple.

Do not pretend you did not know or heard of "Supi" in your school days. Talking of Polygamy, Oga, why do you consider it in the West when it is against their laws. In Rome, it is said, we do as the Roman's do. If you want to have an additional wife to your wife, then the best thing for you to do is to revoke your citizenship of where you are and come back home to resettle and take your additional wife.If you do and come back to Ghana, you would realise that the concept of one man one wife is generally what men maintain but have "gardens." So, when in Ghana, do what their traditions and customs demand. Anyway, not all people in Rome do what the Romans do legally. Go to Ohio and some Mormon communities and you will see they practice polygamy but it is not recognized by their state and country. Do you think their government is not aware? The government knows it is part of their religious beliefs. If one goes on air to proclaim it as a right, that person will go to prison. Similarly, we know of SUPI in our schools and homosexuality in our communities. It takes another dimension when one broadcasts it or wants it to be recognized as a right.

I am of the opinion that the discourse must go beyond the pulpits. I do not subscribe to the idea of volunteerism as a right measure to address public concerns. It is the people of Ghana who must decide. But the issue is whether it there is legislation backing it or not some people would continue to do it. The decision of the US Supreme Court was not based on what President Obama thought of the issue but what some people thought of it.
But we know at least that one Presby Pastor sodomised some boys and it was in the press not long ago. The gays are every where. They just need to be controlled through legislation and not banned. It has nothing to do with God. It is an issue of two consenting adults.

I'm in total agreement with the Presby. Moderator's call on President Mahama to declare his position on this all important issue. To be frank, I've been suspicious of the President from the time he renamed the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.

Oftentimes Western government leaders exert pressure on their powerless African counterparts to adopt and promote their western agendas for them; they even sometimes bribe them to do so, or they use force or threaten them. We all remember how President Obama and Prime Minister Cameron of the U. K. a couple of years or so ago threatened African leaders that they would no longer extend to their countries financial aid packages if they failed to grant human rights to homosexuals, lesbians and trans-genders in their respective countries. It’s significant to note that Mr. Mahama renamed the above-cited ministry not long after the two western leaders had threatened African leaders with the notion of denying them financial assistance.
This is why it’s crucial that President Mahama, like Messrs. Kufuor and Mills before him, must also declare where exactly he or our contry Ghana stands on this Western devilish agenda for Africa.

I don't think the holy Moderator has seen any effort open or hidden to legalize homosexualism in Ghana now or in the future. What happened in the US when their Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage, is strictly for citizens of the US and does not affect Ghanaians in any way. At any rate that decision was not a surprise. It was no secret that gayism was a practice already endorsed in the US as same-sex marriage had already been accepted in about 24 states of the US even before the Supreme Court action. The Supreme Court of the US only did the obvious as far as America was concerned.
Ghana is a sovereign state that is governed by our own laws and not by the laws of the US. What can our president say in response to the US re-definition of marriage in tune with the laws of the US? As far as our laws are concerned, marriage can only occur between two adults of the opposite sex and there is no visible or invisible challenge to that. The US as a sovereign state has the right to chart their path concerning what they consider to be their priorities. We are also sovereign and our priorities definitely are different. Our president should rather tell us how problems afflicting electricity, clean water, health, education, roads etc are being addressed for these are our priorities.
