Education on corruption should have come from schools in civic curricullae. Our 1st premier was so concern about that, until we demised him of dictatorship. Time has shown us that not all brutal dictators were villains, but for proper order of nations, sometimes, the good dictator might better than the
freedom preacher saints of democracy. Lee Kwan Yew or GHaddafi are prooves. As dictators can destroy in some places, so democracy can do worse. Putting their citizens in some forms of slavery. This brings to mind how to characterise regimes and demonised them. Average ghanaians are stupid, especially, some kumasi people I know. They don't know good from wrong, Genious from waste. *SOLUTION:
1. Corruption Sensitivity Training: Educate the executives(attorney general, the judges, public officials, immigration, police officers)about the short, long term effects and impacts of corruption. Corruption Sensitivity Training should be a mandatory part of interview process, class, testing requirement for all ministers and public sector officials. Make them aware of the consequences and have them sign off on this. If judges, police officers, employees are educated and made to understand the explicit and implicit impacts of corruption and how it affects their own salaries, bonuses etc. Things will change!
2. Enforce the Law: Offenders must face jail time, tickets/fines, sell assets to payback what has been stolen, name and shame offenders in media
3. Put ethical persons in positions of power. Set Bribery Traps for employees, ministers etc!
4. Conduct yearly revenue audits brief
5.NPP: Narcotic & Pharmaceutical Party, NDC: National Dealers of Corruption(Price Inflators of the national budget, safety pin, toothpick, kenkey, oil, mbaa dross)
NDC: adum a dum dum b3 gyae! Muahahahahaaaaaaa
NDC has ruled ghana more than any political party since 1957.
Yet, look at the economic and infrastructural deprivation in Volta region? Muahahahaaaaaaaaa
Fool me once, Fool me 2wice. Volta region shine ur eye wai muahahahahaaaaaaa!
Folks, how many plane crashes, church stampedes, Drugs busts, public sector corruption and stealing, bstar tournament disasters, spike in car accidents, school under trees, inflating costs of projects etc have we experienced under NDC leadership? The proof is in the pudding, nuff said!

Little Kwame got caught stealing in a SHOPRITE STORES and runs away from the cops. He runs towards his school and into his classroom. He asks his teacher "May I please hide in your classroom because I got caught stealing". The teacher says "Yes". Little kwame first hides under a desk, but no, the cops can see him there. He then hides behind the door, but no, the cops can see him there. So the teacher suggested to little Johnny "Hide under my long, fluffy skirt". Little Kwame says "O.K." The cops arrive and ask the teacher "Have you seen a little boy around here?". The teacher replies "sorry, I haven't". When the cops left the classroom the teacher says" Johnny, the cops are gone.you can come out now". Little Kwame replies" not yet, I got one more braid to go".

This is one of the most weird and stupid assertions to be heard in recent times.Unfortunately it is coming from the Director of CHRAJ exposed as one of the most corrupt public institutions per the looting spree of the current commissioner recently reported. It is disingenious, callous, heinous and malicious on the part of a CHRAJ Director to suggest tackling corruption from homes when everybody including toddlers know the canker is mainly with our public institutions. This is clearly somebody who is ill-informed,ignorant and not up to the task of his job for the mere fact that a lot of corruption cases with millions of Ghana cedis diverted are reported from public institutions including financial malfeasance or misappropriation on the part of the current CHRAJ Commissioner.Elsewhere,a true human rights and anti-corruption organization like CHRAJ would have been pushing for the rapid prosecution of these indicted public officials including their own commissioner why because no mean a person but the President described it as mass murder illustrating the grave consequences of the canker on human survival. But how can a corrupt organization mandated to fight corruption in public institutions to enforce human rights be effective having themselves been caught in the web of drenching and endemic corruption in the country.Mr.Charles only need simple arithmetic to know the impact of corruption in public institutions in millions of cedis lost from NSS to GYEEDA in a country where the majority poor live on less than a dollar a day confronted by serious nutritional, health, water and sanitation problems.Indeed CHRAJ is known to have willfully and tentatively cover cases of corruption involving high profile public officials in the most embarrassing manner unbefitting a human rights and anti-corruption organization.I remember a case involving a medical practitioner at Effia Nkwanta hospital who became a target of the management of the hospital because he refused to indulge or connive in acts of corruption and illegalities needlessly killing patients whiles a corrupt gang under the auspices of the hospital management enriched themselves. One particular case was handled in the most disdainful and shameless manner by CHRAJ,western region. This was a case involving the unfortunate death of one Patience Sakpetey at the casualty/emergency of Effia Nkwanata because of a bribery scandal with the said doctor sacked by the GHS on duty that night. The deceased actually died because she was blatantly refused blood transfusion just because she could not afford an illegal fee of 50 ghana cedis demanded by the lab.technician at the blood bank.In fact the blood was withheld and by the time relatives returned with the money after combing several hours in town, the patient was dead. This story of Patience Sapketey who died as a result of corrupt practices in that hospital was widely captured in both traditional and social media. The Medical Superintendent of the hospital became incensed and sort to persecute the young doctor on duty that night whom he falsely accused of leaking the story to the media to tarnish his image. In conspiracy with the Regional Health Director Linda Vanotoo the MD of the hospital summarily dismissed the doctor on mere suspicion of leaking information to the media without due recourse to investigations into the substantive issue that killed the patient. This was after GHS headquarters called for the folder of the patient probably to fault the doctor following the media hullabaloo. The doctor took his case to CHRAJ with hindsight of the conspiracy against him, who initially showed promise as a true human rights organization by compelling the hospital management to reinstate the doctor. The Medical Superintendent of the hospital was also force to produce a copy of a psychiatry report for collection at CHRAJ Office in the Western Region after Dr.Ntodi forced the young practitioner against his will to have as many as 5 psychiatry assessments in an attempt to implicate him with the report hidden from him for years.Dr.Ntodi who had altercations with the doctor and was not in talking terms with him was clearly peeved by this and vowed to have the doctor sacked from the Ghana Health Service if he does not leave Effia Nkwanta Hospital.Through Dr Ntodi machinations with the help of the then Regional Director Vanotoo, the doctor was subsequently sacked in conspiracy with the hierarchy of Ghana Health Service through an indefinite suspension. He was incredibly and falsely implicated with a mental illness and dismissed by Dr Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira in less than a month in office as the new Director General,GHS without any audience.Appiah Denkyira determined to illegally sack him in favour of cronies in the western region evaded and avoided him until his dismissal. The GHS cleverly sacked him through an indefinite suspension with the excuse that he refused to have compulsory assessment and treatment for what a letter signed by Appiah Denkyira copied to then Health Minister Alban Bagin described as 'possible delusional disorder'. This was amazingly against the background that the doctor has had numerous psychiatry tests forced on him by the hospital management in a persistent attempt to incriminate him with the final report that cleared him of having no psychiatry illness kept away from him until CHRAJ intervened. But the young practitioner who was clearly a victim of personal vendetta because of his anti-corruption stance in line with professional duties was brutally betrayed by CHRAJ when it mattered most because high profile public officials and politicians were part of the grand conspiracy.Numerous letters to the offices of CHRAJ in both the region and headquarters including the Commissioner as a follow up to his case suddenly fell on death ears.Even in many instances when he was at CHRAJ headquarters to see the Commissioner he was deliberately refused access to both the Commissioner and his deputy. It was the same story with the Region where he never set eyes on the Western Regional Director of CHRAJ who initially pursued his case probably because she was ordered to abstain by headquarters. The young hard working practitioner made a scapegoat by the GHS to cover up corruption in Effia Nkwanta was badly betrayed by CHRAJ to stand in the cold because it did not have the guts to confront the hierarchy of GHS who illegally dismissed him.He has to go solo because of CHRAJ deliberate Negligence and and faced serious hurdles and frustrations until he was finally able to file his case at the high court to fight a case of gross injustice and wanton abuse of his rights by powers that be.He paid a heavy price in a public institution for being vocal against corruption with knowledge of CHRAJ who chose to conspire rather than protect him.One of his numerous lawyers whom he hired and paid summed it up by incredibly telling him the GHS hierarchy told him(the lawyer)he was loud mouth and they are happy to get him out before handing over his file to him. This case involving the GHS currently represented by the AG Department is still pending at the Human Rights Court after 3 years because CHRAJ refused responsibilities. He even suffered two assassination attempts all to gag up the his case compelling him to write to the police headquarters(offices of the IGP and PRO) for police inquiry into his case which once again was met with loud silence. It is a clearly case of institutional paralysis by a body mandated to fight the very corruption in public institutions and tells of the capabilities of the corruption machinery as a canker eating up virtually every public and government organization. To talk of fighting corruption in homes when the canker is starring at you in the very public institutions and government organizations CHRAJ is mandated to help check is one of the most weird and bizarre submissions ever heard in recent times. The only meaningful way corruption can be fought in Ghana is to institute serious anti-graft measures with the requisite political will and commitment in enforcing a National Anti-Corruption Plan targeting high profile public officials and government functionaries entrusted with the responsibility of managing key institutions.Corruption in this Country is the reserve of the elite in society mainly by top men who find a way corrupting and roping the low socioeconomic class into the act to be used as henchmen or partners in crime to silently siphon the national coffers. It will be fruitless and purposeless mission with disastrous results in talking to poor households and communities who cannot afford one square meal a day in the midst of a few elite who sit in public institutions to loot millions of cedis at the expense of the poor tax payer.Mr.Charles,reconsider your thoughts by mapping out strategies that will inculcate a bit of patriotism and sense of nationalism in gluttonous 'bloated stomach' public officer holders who loot millions of cedis from the national coffers with little or no work done in the midst of all the luxury and comfort.Corruption and illegal siphoning state resources is the root cause of the nepotism, cronyism and dirty politics by institutional heads with the sole aim of persecuting and purging workers from the public sector to maintain its sanctity in a closely nit network of organize crime syndicate(mafia) in public institutions that will facilitate looting of state financial resources under cover.CHRAJ will make good their word by focusing on public institutions and government organizations rather than home and communities. The white collar criminals worse than conversational armed robbers murdering masses with a pen as 'gun' and a paper as 'bullet' are found in public institutions and government organizations far from a rural community elsewhere.
