The fundamental duty of any government in the world is to provide peace and security for its citizens, and it controls the security agencies including the police and the army to carry out the duty satisfactorily. It was, therefore, the duty and responsibility of the NDC government to provide an environment conducive for free and fair elections devoid of any form of electoral malpractices or criminal activities. The NDC government should accept responsibility for what happened at Talansi, and not try to tell Ghanaians that they only enjoy power without any responsibility.

When a government is reported to have shared AK-47s, pistols, axes and matches among its thugs to maim and kill opposition leaders to ensure that they are fully intimated, what do you think the level of intimidation and pressure was on the villagers? And when years of accumulated stolen monies from percentages secured from inflated projects, judgment debts and direct use of government money meant for ghost projects like SADA are shared to entice poor gullible voters, what do you expect? Furthermore, if some NDC supporters were caught with thumb-printed ballot papers to rig the elections, how many of them do you think slipped through undetected or allowed to pass in order to stuff the boxes with such papers in favour of the NDC candidate? Moreover, I hope you have not yet forgotten about the 5billion dollars they used out of budget in 2012 to buy the conscience of gullible voters, and for which Ghanaians are being overtaxed today.

NDC would do anything under the sun to rig elections and remain in power, and the practice has been going on since the NDC phase one under Rawlings, who himself displayed crocodile tears on hearing about the electoral violence aptly blamed on the NDC. Clearly, this is the precursor of the nature of the 2016 elections that Mr. Mahama hinted. We now know that it is going be fought with AK-47s, pistols, daggers, axes, matches, bribery and intimidation. And I urge our people to remain resolute in defending democracy in Ghana. Without free and fair elections, we could easily find ourselves again in a one party state like the one that we suffered under Nkrumah because; Mr. Mahama is trying to derail democracy in our country in order to continue his mediocre rule.

Shame of how people will view one if one does something wrong is the only MORAL deterrent why all of us are not there committing crime, but the moment one absolves himself of that MORAL guilt, animal instincts kick in. And I see BLAY as nothing but an animal with NO SHAME.

Obviously something happened so the story from the police is not a credible one. Even if Blay accompanied 2 people to the police station without any sign of injuries, what shows he wasn't attacked afterwards.

If the Ghana police service doesn't arrest this criminal and disband his criminal gang to discourage this kind of lawlessness, then the police service as a law enforcing agent itself will become weak and useless in the very near future. Criminals like Azorka who can think of forming such a criminal gang to intimidate law abiding citizens at an election time is a HUGE THREAT TO THE PEACE AND SECURITY OF GHANA. We as a people can no longer hold elections in a quiet and peaceful manner like any other civilized people because of law breakers like Azorka. It was a shameful, criminal and uncivilized act that was displaced in Talensi, and must be stopped before it gain any root. Interior Minister, Mark Woyongo, has indicated that his outfit will soon legalise the activities of vigilante groups, Azorka boys and Bolga Bulldogs.

“From now onwards we are going to ensure that those who operate have value or credible documents to operate as security agencies. These security companies will have to be licensed,” the minister suggested.

These groups have been accused of perpetrating violent crimes during the just ended Talensi by-election in the Upper East Region.

Even though former President Jerry John Rawlings has called for some of the members of these groups to be arrested and prosecuted, the Interior Minister believes their activities should rather be regulated.

“There are some of them who are not licensed and they are operating. They are operating illegally. The law is that if you want to operate a security company in Ghana you must have a license. You must have a license to operate a security company and some of them do not have the license but they are operating,” he stated.

Azorka boys, Bolga Bulldogs are security companies

Asked whether Azorka boys and Bolga Bull dogs belonged to security companies, the Minister responded in the affirmative, saying “of course they belong to security companies. For sometime now, they have been operating as security companies.”

Azorka boys only protected themselves

Meanwhile the Minister has defended the attack staged by both groups, describing their actions as a pure case of “violence begets violence.”

“Violence begets violence. Azoka boys will not act violent if they were not provoked. The other side also brought in some people…the Invincible Forces and then the Bolga Boys, so violence begets violence.

“What I mean is that if you are a peace lover and someone comes to attack you, definitely you have to protect yourself”, Mark Woyongo remarked on Kumasi based Ultimate Radio

What I head Blau say was that after Woyongo who joked with em had left, Ahora came with about 30 others. He (Azorka) then drew near him and told him they were given 3 minutes to leave the place. Before he could say jack one of his people was slapped followed by another. Bay never said that he was slapped. The reports however said that Azorka boys fired guns. It appears no one is interested in that.
