The main problem in development f Ghana is the central government system in Ghana. A region does not have abudget to omplement projects, you need to beg Accra for projects.If we had a regional system,the well endowed will develop and it will create development competition n Ghana.The less endowed regions will be innovative in how they develop their regions. South Korea, Switzerland, Japan don't have resources but they developed their economies. At the moment, you need to beg Accra and the President for development in your part of the country.

Get a system in tyerms of royalities and taxes that accrues to you ,before you talk about development. In Ghana, the money goes to central government and they allocate the funds as they see fit.

Because of your mischief you failed to mention that All the industries in Ghana are sited in Accra and Tema in the coast.. And mind you all these are happening in the western Region. Atuabo Gas Plant. New Atuabo Oil Port.Takoradi port expansion. Aboadze power plants, 1,2,3. There is a Flour mill. A Cement factory. Two or more Cocoa processing factories. Upcoming 60,000 bld Oil refinery in Takoradi. A 1,200 mw coal power Plant. Another Gas plant soon at Dumonli. A lot of Oil services companies. An upcoming 1,200 mw G.E Gas Power Plant. etc.

its very funny,who said the western region does not have the human resource this is the old song ur grand das sang to ur dad and ur dad also taught u how to sing it to ur unborn generation,the man is telling the truth to the whole world and look at u singing dat old song this is what hr managers who are not westerners use to deprive our people from geting good positions in the mines.if u think natural resource plays no part in the development of a third world country like ours then u r a big joke.what technological advancement hv we gotten frm our human resource 50 years and over after independence,if u tink developing ghana can be done with the human resource alone then make the western or the akan regions indepent and u will see how miserable ur life will be.

The endowed resources of western region is well documented and known by past and present government. But they do not see it the way it has been highlighted. Unless the national budget is decentralised on regional basis nothing better will occur in the region. After all, currently of what use is western regional administration.... in addition how many sector ministers visit the region, only to follow the president on his visit to the region. The region has no budget for it development, likewise the sector ministers. Its a pity
