Busia could have been a leader for any country in this world. That's not mine; that was what the world said when he died prematurely, and the army even displayed crocodile tears at funeral. The man was a respectable, knowledgeable and God fearing leader that had a complete programme for all aspects of our national development.
Unfortunately, the ignorant communist indoctrinated Young Pioneers implanted by Nkrumah in our midst did not allow Ghanaians to benefit from his knowledge and the good work that he had started to do for this country and its people. They then hijacked the country and impeded our development until 2001.
Although Acheampong was a KGB stooge and adventurist that carried out the dirty work of overthrowing Prof. Busia unjustifiably, and was supported and blessed by the communist relics that became the pillars of his so-called NRC regime, they later disowned him when they realized that they had backed the wrong person in order to hide their involvement in the destruction of the country.
Finally, Acheampong was killed by another communist dictator that also seized power, and unleashed a Cuban-style communist dictatorship on Ghanaians for 20years.

It was in the right place for such statement by the former to be made as frankly, between 2000-2008, nothing substantial was made by the Kufuor's Government to use Ghana's resources appropriately.
Kufour was handed an economy where after years of Kalabuley and plundering of her resources saw JJ Rawlings returning it to one of Hope and confidence and indeed between 2000-2008, the peaceful continuity of democracy alone shot investor confidence sky-rocketing yet Kufuor blew all the chances that came it way. What we saw was under the Kufuor led Government was superficial developments which rather than to increase the fortunes of the country, created judgement debts all over both local and international.
Logically,Okoampa, you have forgotten that JJ Rawlings took over an economy with negative growth. I hope you understand the economic term NEGATIVE GROWTH and it's implications on an economy like Ghana. If you did, you not gross over and say Rawlings wasted 20-years of the Last 40 years.
I really do not even know you have personally chalked for yourself in the last 20 years any quality improvement in your own life. What we hear is that you were sacked from having to do anything with NPP. Your Loose articles are nothing more to change the minds who know the history of Ghana.

Busia didn't say that he was going to stay in power indefinitely, and did not declare Ghana a one party state either. Moreover, he was given 5years mandate to deliver for Ghanaians to judge for themselves. But the communist relics panicked and were afraid of his achievements.
On the other hand, Nkrumah was in power for sixteen years and turned himself into a president for life. In the sixties, the country was going down the drain politically and economically and Ghanaians wanted a change. But since he shut all the doors that would enable Ghanians to exercise their political will of changing him democratically through the ballot box, the only option left to them was a military coup. Therefore, the coup that removed Nkrumah from power was the only legitimate coup in the history of Ghana.

Your party tterrorised Ghanaians for supoorting Great Nkrumah and therefore you must shut up and let's think of how Ghana can grow. Your terrorism was what compelled Nkrumah wanting to disband your political party to set the country at peace with itself and the continent. Thieves leave us alone. Today you are in the same ship again hijacking the air waves, the supreme Court, the electoral commission, Ghanaians and the parliament seeking to undermine the Legitimacy of President Mahama and hold Ghanaians at ransomed. Shame on you npp and UP

Can i remind Mahmudu that gGhana is the first country to introduce xenophobia attacks on the african continent through Busia the curse child? Iput it to you that the aliance compliance order implemented by that busia became the genesis of gGhana 's backwards development till date. Those lives lossed then never forgive Ghanaians especially the looting that took place in kumasi, accra and koforidua towns. Lives and property were lost. Tell me if Ghana's economy has seen any significant improvement ever since busia metted out that inhuman, discriminating and bad treatment of foreign nationals especially Nigerians. So blame no one today for our under development but busia and is marfia boys

We Ghanaians have not forgotten the 8 years kufour ruled and ruined our economy which is now recovering under the wise leadership of MAHAMA.As thief kufour must know that evil he committed by way of stealing lands and money from state coffers are tantamount to treason as well as political assault. of course, he kufour knows too well that Rawlings is morally correct and politically sound in all his ways which he kufour has envied since time immemorial. Even his prodigal son akufo is as morally weak and politically dysfunctional as his mentor kufour.

Yes it takes a Kyebi partisan, Dr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, to give credit to the Busia administration for a project that benefited people from his neck of the woods even while he blame other administrations for mismanagement for doing same with benefits going to other regions. Dr. Kwame continue to remind us all of the dangers of having a few classroom educated but ignorant/unwise elite class in a nation like Ghana to have all vested powers without corresponding citizens of well educated, wise and principled with intellectual honesty. There has not been a derogatory and vile English insult Dr. Kwame has not seen fit to describe the Kwame Nkrumah or J. J. Rawlings administrations but is yet to find a strand of intellectual honesty to describe decades of disasters brought unto mother Ghana by the 1966 coup that sold us all a bill of goods not worth a hill of beans from his kind of heroes. Democracy is not about freedom to be a horses ass neither is it about history rewrites with tribal or political party preferences; for the most part practicing democratic nations do point to human progress on all fronts but never about carrying tin cups for begging or mass exodus of citizens for greener pastures elsewhere on earth.

As slways this villager called Ahootan misses the salient point and begins his empty and toxic rhetoric with his usual nonsense in the middle of nowhere.
Who was the advisor of the Notorious Liars Council (NLC)? Was it not BUsia who in tandem with the NLC with a stroke of a red pen stopped all on-going projects in Ghana after the 1966 coup?
And was it not Busia who stopped the the nearly completed dredging construction on the Korle Lagoon after DR. Kwame Nkrumah has removed squaters at old Fadama and resettled them at Medina?
Look you Johnny come latelys to Accra don't know this backstory but jump to conclusion as always with a loudmouth.
Maybe, it would better for you to go back to your respective villiges. There are places in Accra where those of us born and bred in Accra will never ever build a house because we knew that these places are swampy areas and water ways. Places around Odaw river and Alajo with Alajo sea where cattles used to graze were all waterlogged deposits. Today, people from the hinterland who have no idea have built houses on these water ways and, with Busia cancelling the dredging construction on the Korle Lagoon, has compounded the banana problem. Were it not for the stupidity of Busia and a disgruntled few of Mate Meho the Korle Lagoon would have been now a recreational lagoon with boats sailing on it like the thames in London. Today, almost 50 years after the ill-fated 1966 coup Ghana is still reeling from the pain of the past. The 1966 coup set Ghana 100 years back. That is the heavy price we collectively paid for this deplorable 1966 coup. What a waste!
Ahootan, take a quantum leap into the past and do a honest recall of the past then you know that 1966 coup was the beginning of the end of Ghana. Our Notorious Liars Council past with inept Busia at the helm has caught up with us. Now shut your face Ahootan, you know next to nothing about Ghana. Buh!
