The Conference of Regional Directors of the agency has therefore asked the presidency to “halt the planned re-assignment, as a matter of urgency, to save the image of the agency and to allow the current executive director continue with the good work he has started before Vincent Kuagbenu plunges the agency into another scandal as he did with the National Service Scheme.”

They claimed that under the leadership of Kobby Akyeampong, the agency had gone through proper re-structuring, part of which gave birth to the Youth Employment Act, Act 887, which allowed for the training of staff on customised monitoring and evaluation.

Aside that, they said, “We now have functioning and helpful legal and audit departments with the agency which were previously not there.”

Where is Mr. Adongo and his cohorts who sought to disgrace Kobby? Now your superiors who know what real achievements are have spoken. These are easily verifiable. Where are the dumb arses who jumped on the Adongo bandwagon? Shame on Ghanaians. We don't like truth and we can wish our country ill for the sake of politics.

The political chess of re-assignments of incompetent appointees, instead of sacking them confirms the perception that Mahama has just got people who are capable of doing brand Ghana any service. Instead because of the winner take all mentality and as a matter of policy of political parties, the best talents Ghana can harness to build the country have been consigned to oblivion and the result is what we see; appointing ex dining hall prefects, students and out of college boys and girls who have no experience to write home about and yet are given the licence to disrespect their more reknowned experienced elders, to the dismay of all.

The poor leadership of Mahama and his poor communication with the people skill are all there to be seen. The man simply is not in control of affairs. The party apparatchiks are the one calling the shots behind the scenes.
