NOISY AND DISRESPECTFUL FIIFI KWETEY THE CHARLATAN ECONOMIST, TERKPER AND MAHAMA MUST STOP THE FREE FALL IN THE VALUE OF THE CEDI. That baby with sharp teeh, Fiifi Kwetey who calls himself an economist, insulting sensible people who understand economics well from the days of serial caller till Atta listen to him and made him a minister still doesn't have a solution to the free fall of the cedi. Mahama and his useless NDC PARTY have never done anything good to the Cedi ever since they broke into the political limelight in Ghana 26 years ago. They only create problems for others to solve. Today, if you don't dig your own borehole, you won't get water flowing in your tap like it is in every other civilized country. The less I talk about electricity, the better. It has become normal for patience to sleep on benches in buildings labelled as hospitals. Corruption and bribery is at its highest peak. Citizens who have traveled abroad to seek better life are robbed at our ports of entry of their belongings in the form of custom duty charges. What a country? Ghana can do better if these useless group of people who have been given good 26 years to show us what they can do but have nothing good to show, are kicked out of office in 2016, and a competent political party is elected. VOTE MAHAMA AND HIS MEDIOCRE NDC GOVERNMENT OUT IN 2016 AND GET THE LIFE YOU DESERVE TO LIVE BACK.

The president has no right under the constitution to appoint EC chairperson and its members. His powers under the constitution in this regard are perfunctory and not substantive like appointing his own ministers. His appointment of the lady is, therefore ultra vires because the president is a leading political player and does not have substantive powers under the constitution to appoint the political referee. In fact, the appointment is against the letter and spirit of the constitution. Our constitution does not seek to give undue advantage to one political player over the other players, and the real meaning of the word "advice" must be understood clearly in the constitutional context.

I think all Ghanaians should pray for her to be successful, instead of so-called gender advocates trying to reason that it is a victory for them.

While I recognize the need for the empowerment of human being, including our female compatriots, to say that newly-appointed EC Boss is politically neutral is false. Until this appointment, this woman headed the NCCE, an outfit every Ghanaian with a keen sense of politics knows is an appendage of the NDC. I was in the Tain Constituency in 2008 during the most controversial elections in our history and vehicles belonging to the NCCE were used to ferry in NDC activists openly. Do you call that neutrality? or you think Ghanaians are fools? I fully agree with Gabby that this woman is an NDC sympathizer and perhaps even a card holding member of the party.
