There are millions out there with an extreme liberal views and they are pushing the legalization of marijuana. What is the sense in legalizing it? We should look into and at ourselves before walking the path some nations have walked. Ghana is not that developed to accept any nonsense that some nations are doing.
After legalizing marijuana, the next one will be homosexuals because those with the money will start pushing the buttons as to what our authorities will do. Yesterday, the US Supreme court ruled in support of gays and lesbians to marry and should a "normal society act like that"? That is what I have been saying about "extreme liberal views". It is very dangerous and slippery slope path to "where are we heading to journey"?
No matter what the situation, our parliamentarians should not and never accept the legalization of marijuana. About couple of years ago when the US state of Colorado accepted the legalization of marijuana, a poll came out that homeless population in that state had soared to an unprecedented level in their history and what should that tells us?
We cannot be that stupid and be gored by a charging bull.

NDC will go for sure and we will have a parliament and govt that will look into the merits of this issue and most surely be liberal and legalize it as we stand to benefit more than loose. NDC would rather legalize sodomy and homosexuality than legalize something that will eventually benefit the economy . Under NDC even cigarette smoking has become a borderline criminal offense so we are not suprised

OBAMA and CLINTON all had agreed they'd messed with it before.
The hypocrisy of Ghanaians especially the so-called big men is so nauseating.

In life you have to make choices and not follow everything that others are doing but the ones which are good for your society. I am sure we are intelligent enough to think for ourselves and not treat liberal thinking as a package. There are some good liberal views like the abolishing of slavery. The MP said we all know the harm weed does to our society but he didn't deepen the debate by stating what in his mind was an obvious point. Presumably, he's referring to madness. There's no obvious correlation between madness and smoking. If he's basing his point on the fact that a few smokers have gone mad, well for his information, majority of mad people don't smoke but all mad people drink water so it could be water. Sounds stupid but that's the nature of the arguments being made by those who say some mad people smoke so it's the weed causing it. We need a more scientific argument. I am not familiar with the colorado case, but that state isn't the only one to legalise. Was the same findings made in the other states. What test was made to eliminate other factors like economic downturn.

Sometimes, I sit for hours, wondering the future of our children in the next two decades. We have rapidly deviated from our values and are now aliens on the very land and to the wisdom that Almighty Allah bestowed on us as dark skinned humans. Not very long, the president of this land sat and dined with homosexuals to the full glare of our growing kids. Even to the extent of soliciting funds from such filthy people to sponsor Israel trip! Now the NDC and it's surrogates are pushing for substances that will destroy our youth for life. Well, we are in democracy. Mahama and his thieves have the right to implement the views of some majority. But I also have the right to protect my kids agains deviant acts which will hurt their moral responsibility. I'll do this at the perile of my life and on the judgement day, Allah will not punish me for protecting them

The only people that believe prohibition is working are the ones making a living by enforcing laws in its name, and those amassing huge fortunes on the black market profits. This situation is wholly unsustainable, and as history has shown us, conditions in Ghana will continue to deteriorate until we finally, just like more advanced nations, see sense and join them with tried and tested methods of legalized regulation.
