Many of these doctors are useless outside of Ghana. They cannot pass most of the United States medical Exams and other western countries' board exams to even get residency position for another 4 years before even doing fellow ...

Many of these doctors are useless outside of Ghana. They cannot pass most of the United States medical Exams and other western countries' board exams to even get residency position for another 4 years before even doing fellowship to be licensed to practice. Most of them end up as nurses and Physician assistants and never can practice medicine unless they go back to Ghana. Even South Africa, is a problem for them and they are throwing their weights about.
Even Nigeria will not like them. May be Togo or Benin; Liberia probably a must for them.
They should go! The money being spent on them will suffice to fetch Cuban Doctors twice their number. They know Ghana is doing them a favour and not they doing Ghana a favour since the nation's money trained them partly. To hell with them! When their counterparts in other parts of the world are seriously researching and developing new things in the medical field and making breakthrough health delivery marks to serve humanity, they sit in Ghana killing patients and going scot free without prosecution; where in the western world and places like south Africa will they go unpunished for their various stupid negligence that has cost many families love ones?

You seem stark illiterate on the subject matter hence it will very useless to debate you.
The colleagues in Ghana have not asked for the moon all that they are saying is give me condition of service so I know how I should put my "useless service".
You talk about Nigeria WHO recognizes any Medical school worth its salt including US schools here and remember US is not and I repeat is not the Alpha and Omega in medical education.
Again go to UGMS now and check out the number of foreign students including Nigerians.
Don't worry if even Afghanistan will treat its human capital in these 21st century with decency,workers will migrate there.

If they want the current conditions of service to be changed; yes, it can be done. But for them to keep deceiving the public that they have no conditions of service, it is a blatant lie.
I am challenging them to come out with the truth of their real agenda and not throw dust into peoples eyes.

Don't be fooled, the fact that foreign students are persuing medicine in UGMS does not make it the best or among the best. For your information, have you wondered why foreign students enroll in Ghana? Do you know if they weren't sacked or could not secure admission to medical schools in the west?
Didn'n the doctors know about the conditions in Ghana before chosing that profession? I used the phrase 'most of them' so let the ones certified by known and esteemed western boards make that noise and Ghanaians will understand.
Please admit it; they are killers ghanaians are managing without option. Let ther be options and see.

Please stop that political and partisan nonsense and let us tell them the truth for our money trained and pay them. If they have no negotiation skills or are taking that unpopular stance because if their selfush and political inclination, they rather seek professional advuce or employ the services of level headed professional negotiators to handle their collective case. Mind you, all these is not about sallary; it is about condition of service, si they are fully paid for their services which I seriously know are mostly not quality per international standards.

The truth is that Doctors in Ghana are amongst the highest paid of government workers due to their role. However they like to compare themselves with wages being earned outside the country. They completely disregard the fact that education is much more costly in the US and most doctors spend their first few years paying off student loans. In places like Canada where Medical school is somewhat subsidized, the take home pay is lower.Even then they still have enormous student loans which simply do not exist in Ghana.
