The only thing they will defend with their hearts, souls and rotten balls is eating fufu and maggot infested soup, banku and tilapia, then downing it all with club or star beer.

Why does this gesture from a philanthropic headmaster be about NDC. The school has been around since Rawlings and Kuffours reign, and I am certain they have had other unorthodox practices during those periods.

It is no secret that Ghanaians are poor and ignorant, and like to beg for everything. There has to be ingenuous ways for the poor girls to handle their menstrual period, unfortunately in Ghana all of us use abominable excuses not to be responsible. All these poor villagers making babies they can't nurture.

You don't have to wait until a country starts it before we do. This is the problem we have and if parents are too poor to take care of this, I think it's in the right direction to do it.

Buying a pad for your child is a parenting 101. It is like buying underwear for your child. I understand some people may not have money or means to afford it but that is not the government responsibility. As a society, we need to stop begging and try to stand on our own feet. This is shame that someone will ask for handout in order to buy pads for girls. It is almost 60yrs since we had independence but we still can’t stand on our own feet. God bless Ghana.

It is a shame that president Mahama has received $164 million to buy sanitary pads for girls and he and his NDC criminals has stolen the money and share among themselvesand parents paying for that money their wards or girls did not benefit from.This should be a lesson to parent who is thinking of voting NDC to retain powerand this motive and wickedness to denial girls their pads in order avoid class despite $164 million been given to president Mahama and his criminals they has prove that they don't care a hoot about the girls they promise to provide them with sanitary pads.President Mahama where is the sanitary pads or the money?According to the headmaster it is donors and he himself providing sanitary pads instead of the money approve by parliament to purchase the pads to distribute to schools.Are you not shame of yourself Mr president for denial girls of their pads?

A good headmaster would have appealed for equipments to give these student knowledge. They were sent there to be educated--to get education and sanitary pad is never in the school curruculum.

However, I would ask him to consider putting a female tutor or administrator (no sexism intended here) in charge of the program. Teen girls would feel more comfortable going to a female than male for hygiene products. The program could even be expanded to educate both boys and girls about their physical health, etc.
