While I do not give a darn who sits in the office of the president, as long as the contest is always going to be between the NDC and NPP, it is still unsettling to hear Nana Akufo-Addo speak. I challenge NPP elders to review speeches by Nana Akufo-Addo between January 2015 and now and tell me if the flag-bearer is not in denial.

Nana Akufo has said earlier in the year there is no feud between Akufo-Addo-and Alan camps in the party prior to NPP delegate elections. He down-played concerns by elders when his camp was busy buying votes and immediately thereafter his victory; Alan Cash played along with the pretentious unity crap. Since then the NPP has seen its share of vote buying, old party guard change hands and an ongoing contest between the old and the new guards.

The just concluded elections pit losers against winners and now Nana Akufo-Addo comes out of the woodworks to remind voters there is a tussle between camps he had denied existed. Either the people around Nana Akufo-Addo are new to politics or do take Ghana's voters to be dumb; particularly NPP card carrying members who cannot differentiate when they are being pissed on and when being rained on. Either way, the road to Ghana's presidency is wisdom and maturity and not lack of principles being exhibited by the incumbent and Nana Akufo-Addo.
