Three and a half years of Atta Mills presidensy will also be termed as a waste for Fantis and Ekumfi Etuam people since the good old Prof could not do for Fantis, and Etuam people, a tenth of what Maham

It is a pity that we dont have people who are intelligent enough in that Parliament to effectively deal with that dangerous clown called Dodoo who refers to himself as a Professor of sorts.
Even his vulgar arrogance in the face of widespread public concern about these trials, of which they suspiciously failed to inform or sensitize the public about, is enough to earn him a few dirty slaps in the face and six lashes on his backsides. The impudence of it all!
Somebody should tell that fool that whether those criminally notorious multinational pharmaceutical companies who wanted to use vulnerable Ghanaians to experiment on, are allowed to conduct the said trials in Ghana or not, dont we at the end of the day, buy whatever products that they produce at the end of the day? Do they give us those products that they produce, to us for free? What is this nonsense about that we begged for H1N1 vaccines when that virus struck?
We are in a country whose health delivery services are frail and unreliable because incompetent people like that Dodoo boy who are trained with the tax-payers money, cannot get their act together to manage or prevent the most basic and common diseases and health challenges like diphtheria, guinea worm, high maternal mortality and even cholera in the major cities and towns of this country - never mind the rural areas.
Like those Africans who were used by our historical oppressors to catch their own brothers and sisters as slaves for white people, so also is that Dodoo boy being used to surreptitiously go out there in the remote areas of the country to clandestinely carry out experiments on hapless villagers who do not have a clue about the kind of monsters they are dealing with and the fate that awaits them.
No such experiments should be carried out in this country unless he Dodoo himself, allays our fears by volunteering himself and his children as guinea pigs as well. That is the bottom line. It is only then that he can have the moral authority to continue presenting himself in the public domain in that rude and untrained manner of his, without getting the appropriate attacks in response.

Its simple the nation is ignorant, these vaccines have been tried in many stages before it has got to humans, I really dont know where our ignorance comes from, we have added emotions to our ignorance whereby someone will just talk to learned people without even thinking when in his house he does not have such a person.

Prof. Dodoo was factual and professional. He may have been a little blunt in explaining a situation which should have come easy to the nation's parliamentarians. Yes, Ebola is not a child's play. Apparently, the whole population got scared when the news broke about the vaccination in the Volta Region. However, the contributions on the subject on the floor of parliament from both sides of the divide, were un parliamentary. They may have played to the gallery but in doing so, opened up their flanks.

Frankly speaking, I do not think that any of those penny-half-penny so-called researchers in this country, have a clue about any kind of research. You just need to look at the filth and the diseases around us to figure out that at best, these our so-called scientists do not have a clue about the subject.
It is only dumb people like you who think that this very serious issue can be likened to a school debate.
I do not play football but I watch football and I comment on football games. In the same way, I do not need to know what virology research is about but I am not going to sit down and watch a few greedy mercenaries operating under the cover of scientists and professors, to gamble with my life and that of the rest of the people of Ghana.
This matter is not a matter for narrow-minded tunnel-vision professors to determine. It is for thinking people in this country to decide whether this dubious experiment can or should be carried out anywhere in this country.

The Professor had defeated them alrady because they realised now that they played stupidity since the MPS were not even aware of the mandate of the FDA in relation to the Ebola vaccine. If the MPS had done their underground work well, there will basically no need of all cheap display of village oriiented mentality.
The mistake our MPS are making is that they always use village mentality to react to situations before finding out the reality of it. This is normally not acceptable considreing these MPS as representatives of the populace.
Their poor and low mentality village style comments of references to mice and chimpanzees is what basically exposed their stupidity. Why have the MPS failed to understand that there are certain comments considered as street talks thus why do they open themselves to laughter as many people who have not been to parliament are conscious of stupid talks.
The professor Dodoo needs to wipe them more than he did which had raised their nervousness and therefore summoned him to face them, so that they will practice their funny behaviour of disgrace where every one of them will be shouting at him to get him frustrated. This is all that they know. Typical African mentality of disgrace and retrogression.

Where have you heard of any medication without side effects? Even the traditional medications have side effects which we don't want to mention. How do they get it right without knowing the side effects and finding a solution to minimize these effects. If you want a medication without side effects, don't go to the dr.
Ebola treatment was not halted in the US. Most of the treatment now available come from the US, the same treatments given to the people infected in the US. FYI, there is no vaccine to cure Ebola. Vaccines in Clinical trials Phase 1 have been used with success in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Stupid talk. Any treatment, traditional or scientific is trial and error. The so-called ancestral science did not make us the healthiest human beings on earth. The longevity rate for Africans continue to get lower whiles those in the west continue to rise.
If you don't trials in Ghana, wait until Ebola hits and start scrambling for medication. You are going to get one without any trials. But we don't care. This is like the case of people who don't want madmen loitering in the streets but don't want aslyums built in their backyards. Go Figure!

Good point you raised there but unfortunately you shot wide over the bar.
Let me tell you that Africans used to live longer until European and American medicine was introduced into our system. Every African knows this and that is why until today, even the most illiterate African uses local medicine alongside the western ones which we are all skeptical about.
Go and ask that so-called Professor Dodoo himself if he doesnt apply local traditional medication on himself.
It is common knowledge that even in the West, i.e., Europe and America, their nationals are now so skeptical about what these killer pharmaceutical companies are feeding them with as drugs that many of them are, as we speak, desperately resorting to herbal medicine - what they now shame-facedly refer to as alternative medicine, as a form of escape from Big Pharma.

Why should you attack the vaccine before having real anwsers from him? Until when will we behave like really civilised people, no matter what these white have no respect for us.
If it were the WHO who brought whites to do the trial even the MPs will send their families in lines to test it but for our people, it has become a taboo.

Prof Alex Doodo only expressed his frustration and anger over a parliamentary decision.i feel scandalised to hear that he has been referred to the privilleges committee.Even the president is criticised everyday.
As citizens, are we not allowed to express our opinions? Why is parliament summoning him? If parliament actually did their work well, all this hoopla about the vaccine trials would not have happened.
Don't mind these yeye politicians who don't know anything but want to be referred as honourable. Aren't they ashamed of themselves. How I wish I was in Ghana, I would have hit them harder than the Prof did. Illiterate MPs
I agree, it is an unfortunate turn of events, one I pray Ghana will sort out soon.
Best wishes to all Ghanians, no matter what your opinion on this topic.
People who don't know Jack are suddenly talking about Ebola???
Ghana should get serious and leave professionals to do their work.

Why not use your family members? Why not try it in Liberia and countries where the virus was active?
If you took time to read, you would know vaccine trials have already occurred in Liberia.
So where are the vaccines after the trials in Liberia?
