The broad achievements of the United Nations Millenium Development Goals are out and Africa was last in all the goals. There is growing irritation amongst concerned citizens and stakeholders on the lack of information from the President and the MPs (representatives) on how we have fared so far.
The government must provide the needed information as soon as possible.

Oye should consider reining in advertisers of alcoholic beverages and aphrodisiacs in the media. For every ad the media houses should come up with a counter advertisement to protect children. Not the casual statement if you are under age do not drink. But something to educate children about the long term harm caused by alcohol and aphrodisiacs.

Surely the UN General Assembly should have enforced a child protection policy in the country. This would give lawyers something to challenge in courts of justice. Presently there is nothing of that nature in Ghana and many institutions are abusing vulnerable children and not challenge by anyone. I would rather hold the Government responsible for the abuse of children and not the media. I honestly think the UN General Assembly is also failing the children in Ghana and many African countries by not ensuring that Governments have a child protection policy in African countries as we do in many developed countries? Why?

Oye is happy to be seen travelling and enjoying the benefit of her job but in reality she is failing to address the inequalities that exist in our country. There is no state own nursery education for the 3-5 year old in the country. if ones parents can't afford to send a child to nursery then they have to wait at home until they turn 6 to start a very weak poorly equipped primary school. What is the future of these children. Then Oye report the Media as the problem of her own short coming. This is disgraceful. The media is right to dispose poor achievement. over 5,000 under the tree education was identified by Betty Mould Idirisu yet the current Education Minister is yet to address all the identified cases of under the tree form of education . How about the children missing out on tuition due to rains etc. What is the UN General Assembly saying about this? Then how can the UN General Assembly chastise the Ghanaian media? What for? Why is the same UN General Assembly not fighting hard for those children being education under the tree in Ghana? Whose responsibility is this to ensure that children are educated in a purposeful infrastructural accomodation.
