Instead of explaining to the public why the increment he rather choose to talk trash which shows he is not fit for the position.
It is not his business what car people buy and the fact that people buy expensive cars does not mean they should pay more for fuel he must also know that it is only a small percentage of Ghanaians who own cars.
Asaga is riding in a free car and enjoying free fuel and instead of keeping his mouth shut he chose to insult Ghanaians.

OSEI TAWIAH, YOU ARE SHALLOW-MINDED, ELSE YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT THE PRICE IS UK AND GERMANY ARE HIGHER BECAUSE THEIR GOV'TS HAVE PUT HIGH TAXES ON THE FUEL AS THEY PAY THEM VERY HIGH (MINIMUM OF $78/$76) WAGES SO THEY KNOW THEY CAN AFFORD. GHANA GOES TO BUY OUR FUEL AT THE WORLD MARKET PRICE WITHOUT SUCH TAXES SO THEY ARE CHEAPER. IN THE US TODAY A GALLON OF FUEL IS $2.49. WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT THAT? AND THEY ALSO STILL HAVE VERY HIGH MINIMUM WAGES COMPARED TO GHANA. DON'T THINK BECAUSE UK AND GERMANY ARE SELLING AT $6 TO 7 DOLLARS MEANS THAT IS THE PRICE GHANA IS PAYING AND SELLING AT $3.3. GHANA IS ALREADY SELLING AT FULL COST RECOVERY AND HAVE ALSO ADDED SO MUCH TAXES ON THEM. THE WORLD OIL PRICE PER BARREL IS AT ITS LOWEST IN THE LAST 10 YEARS BUT THE NDC DOES NOT SEE THE NEED TO REDUCE, BUT RATHER EVER INCREASING ON TOP OF ALL OUR HARDSHIPS!!!

Do you think Ghana and other poor countries pay less for a barrel of oil at the world market fixed price? No,they don"t.If a barrel is fixed at say 50 dollars, every country rich or poor pays the same price. It is up to individual countries/govt to put tax on them or subsidize. For example,Norway pumps a million barrels of oil a day yet,it is the most expense country to buy a gallon of petrol. The govt gets more revenue out of it to finance other projects.Do not insult others when you are wrong.

I'M SORRY FOR U, KOFI. U RUSHED TO COMMENT!!! I NEVER SAID GHANA PAY LESS FOR THE BARREL OF CRUDE AT THE WORLD MARKET!!! WHAT I SAID IS THAT THE UK AND GERMANY HE IS REFERRING TO ARE SELLING SO HIGH BCOS OF THE HIGH TAXES THEY HAVE IMPOSED KNOWING THEIR CITIZEN CAN PAY FOR BCOS THE CITIZENS HAVE VERY HIGH MINIMUM WAGE. GHANA'S MINIMUM WAGE IS SO LOW, THE GOV'T CANNOT LOOK AT THE PRICE UK AND GERMANY ARE SELLING THEIR FUEL TO FIX THE PRICE IN GHANA. LISTEN PROPERLY; BOTH UK/GERMANY AND GHANA ARE BUYING THE FUEL ON THE WORLD MARKET CHEAPLY AT @ $50/BARREL AT THIS POINT IN TIME, SOME 70% DROP IN PRICE FROM WHERE IT WAS A YEAR OR SO AGO, SO ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL THE PUMP PRICE FOR FUEL SHOULD REDUCE SOME 70% FROM WHERE THERY WERE. HOWEVER, UK/GERMANY/NORWAY SEE THIS AS OPPORTUNITY TO REAP IN TO SAFE THEIR ECONOMIES, BUT AGAIN LISTEN PROPERLY; THESE 3 COUNTRIES ARE ABLE TO DO SO BCOS THEY ARE FULLY AWARE THEIR CITIZENS CAN AFFORD BCOS THEIR MINIMUM WAGES ARE VERY HIGH AT $78/70 ETC PER DAY. THISMEANS THAT IN UK ETC, EVEN A POOR INDIVIDUAL ON THE MINIMUM WAGE CAN BY SOME 9 GALLONS OF FUEL WITH HIS DAILY WAGE. GHANA CAN NOT DO THE SAME BCOS THE CITIZENS ARE ALREADY IMPOVERISHED WITH A DAILY MINIMUM WAGE OF $1.25 OR SO, WHICH AS IN THE ANALOGY WITH YOU UK ETC ABOVE, WILL TAKE A GHANAIAN'S 3 DAYS OF MINIMUM WAGE PUT TOGETHER TO BUY 1 GALLON OF FUEL, AND MOSES ASAGA SHD BE THE 1ST PERSON TO KNOW THIS.

Even his name tells you he is a jealous soul. NDC are full of poor and jealous souls whose main aim was to come into gov't and steal with both hands whiles in power. Frankly they have achieved that. All the people surrounding Mahama are thieves and I don't believe any of those had money before they came into government at all.
Even Mahama wasn't wealthy when he was in opposition, he wasn't. As is Akuffo-Addo also, he is living on the stolen wealth of his father's time in office as a ceremonial President of Ghana in the early seventies. So you see, all the so -called wealthy people, stole their wealth from the state and then legitimised it somehow over a generation. Both NDC and NPP are all CRIMINALS of the highest order. Ghana has to listen and act or we are doomed to fail again.

Asaga was only expressing his opinion on the petroleum price increase, in his capacity as the CEO of the NPC? If the NPP as a political party or an individual member has any variant observations or comments, let them express them to us? They should not just label Asaga as 'arrogant'? Which political party is more arrogant than the NPP? Which political party supporters are most boisterous and arrogant in Ghana than NPP supporters? Look at the kettle calling the pot black. Only a 'Yen Akanfuor' and 'All die be die' party supporters fit the term, 'arrogant'. This is the political philosophy of an over seventy-old party leader whose ideas are as old his as his age.

Yes, those who drive top-range petrol guzzlers are the ones making the most noise on petroleum prices. Beside their posh top range cars, they own mansions in exclusive parts of our towns and cities and they are expecting government to construct access roads and gutters for their use? There should be a petrol price deferential to vehicles. The bigger the engine capacity/fuel consumption, the higher the running costs and the smaller the engine capacity, the lower the running costs. This way, taxi, bus, coach and 'tro-tro' operators will be less affected in petroleum price hypes, and more loose change in people's pockets for more 'face the wall'? Asaga do this and you will see who will mill into the streets, climb trees and rooftops singing your praises. Hallelujah? Yes, hallelujah. Please pardon my spelling of this spiritual cry. Thank you.
