A five-year-old kindergarten girl who went missing last Wednesday with a playing mate at the SSNIT Flats at Asuoyeboa in Kumasi has been found dead in a nearby cassava farm in what police suspected to be ritual murder.

The scene was bizarre.

The heart of the deceased whose name police gave only as Arkofa was taken away and the body spotting several cuts on the back and the neck.

The deceased’s stomach was opened with a suspected sharp object and a human hand appeared to have been used to remove the heart.

Surprisingly and perhaps by divine intervention, the friend of the deceased, Mercy Agyenim Boateng, 4, was found at the crime scene alive but with several cutlass wounds.

The little girl who seemed to have spent the night standing close to her murdered friend, was traumatised and was rushed to hospital for attention.

No one could explain how she survived the brutal attack.

The Suntreso District Police Commander, DSP Cosmos Damoah, told the Daily Graphic Friday that his outfit was doing every possible to get to the bottom of the crime.

No one had been arrested yet but the district police boss said his outfit had mounted investigations into the murder with the view to arresting the perpetrator(s).

According to him, the two children went out playing last Wednesday but never returned home. DSP Damoah said a report was made to his outfit Wednesday night.

This morning, the owner of the cassava farm, one Abdulai Yakubu, went to the farm and saw Mercy standing there with cutlass wounds all over the body.

With the little girl unable to talk, Abdulai held her hand back looking for her parents.

When Abdulai finally found the house of Mercy, relatives and other neighbours followed up to the farm with Abdulai and during a search the remains of Arkofa was found.

Police were informed of the discovery of the body and men were dispatched to the scene to send the body to the morgue at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital awaiting autopsy.

DSP Damoah appealed to the public to volunteer information on the murder that could lead to arrests.

He also advised against the situation where people rush to crime scenes before informing the police saying such practice could disrupt investigations.

Personnel of the Asokwa Police Station in the Ashanti Region are searching for clues to help them track down the killers of a young woman believed to be in her early 30s.

Aniwaa, said to be a native of Kwaso-Deduako, was found dead with her breasts, genitals and other body parts removed in the latest killing linked to ritual murder.

She was allegedly killed by unknown persons on the night of Wednesday, January 11, 2012 on a path leading to her residence at Kwanwoma new site in the Atwima-Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti region.

The deceased was said to have gone out to see off a visitor but never returned home alive.

Her body was found, by some passersby, near a bush at the side of the path in the early hours of Thursday, with her intestines gushing out.

The deceased was without clothes when her body, which was lying in a supine position, was spotted around 6:00.a.m.

The incident, which was the second of its kind in two months in the area, had thrown the town into shock and disbelief, as residents said the young woman might have been killed for ritual purposes.

Collins Aduhene, a resident, told Daily Guide at the scene that women in the area had become the targets of ritualists, thereby making people fear for the safety of adult female members of their families.

He said the latest attack took place when the deceased person went out to see off her male visitor around 8:00.p.m. on Wednesday.

According to Collins, what was not clear was whether Aniwaa was murdered by her unknown visitor or contract killers just as she was returning home.

If u are wise,you don't measure this government by the current power crises we are going through now.
I have come to now realise that most people dnt like a commited leader,'instead, a leader that will play arround their problems instead of faceing it. Pray for more wisdom man.

Who asked Dr Danaa to take sides in a chieftaincy dispute by solely declaring the chieftaincy status of the Americans illegal. Who sent the National Security Officials to go and harass the Americans. We all know the National Security Zombis like operating under the cover of darkness( you remember the Legon Toll Booth Saga) and their hatred for dogs is unimaginable( you remember NS official threatened to shoot and kill the dogs of the software designer of UG students' election). So if the dogs of the two American citizens were killed prior to their gruesome murder you can now see those behind the killing.
Dr Danaa cannot throw dust into our eyes. If others have thrown dust into his eyes, that is his own cup of tea.

This seems that the Police conspire together with these killers. The Government MUST also be blamed for not caution the police for improper investigation.
