  This is wise advice the govt would do well to heed. Propaganda is not going to solve Dumsor. The govt has to be honest with Ghanaians & more transparent in its dealings

  Take a long at any proposal document and you will get a good understanding that it's a complex document with many headings covering financing agreement, payment schedule, technical details, cost benefit, environmental effects ...

  Take a long at any proposal document and you will get a good understanding that it's a complex document with many headings covering financing agreement, payment schedule, technical details, cost benefit, environmental effects, exit plans, local content and a whole heap of detail to enable the review team and parliament make an informed decision as to it's viability. Simply telling us the delivery date is not enough

  Anybody who seeks attention just recycles dead news n puts it out there. If this group is in Ghana it would know that plans are in place to increase the energy capacity by 3800 megawatts in the next five years. These power ships are not even part of the deal. What civil society shd be doing is forcing government to implement the roadmap for success of this dream knowing that NDC is a disaster when it comes to delivery.

  Dr. Steve Manteaw must get his facts right about coal power plants and should stop deceiving the public. Coal fired plants currently have cleaner environmental systems that meet all health standards. China, Japan, USA, South Africa, etc have all developed supercritical coal technologies and ultra supercritical systems with the aim of saving lifes and preserving the environment. I would love to engage him and show him the latest in the world of coal power.
