Education is every expensive every where in the world these days. Most people in the USA, UK and Canada finish University with huge debt. Hence, Ghanaian must learn to pay for education. Must schools in abroad also charge app ...

Education is every expensive every where in the world these days. Most people in the USA, UK and Canada finish University with huge debt. Hence, Ghanaian must learn to pay for education. Must schools in abroad also charge application fees, whether you apply on-line or use paper application form. The charges are the same. Application fees for good schools in USA and UK, which are equivalent to UG, KNUST and UCC Ghana standard can be very expensive (in the USA range between $150 - 250)

The Universities are actually cheating applicants in that after paying hugely for the online application, you are not notify when you are even selected. I helped a lady to apply to one of the state owned universities and they promised to contact all applicants but failed to do so. Now she was shortlisted for an entrance examination which were held without her because she had not been given any invitation for the exam. The universities need to sit up and do the right thing and stop cheating applicants. Please leave the president out of this. Universities are autonomous and so not control by the government.

Universities in Ghana only provide licenses to their graduates to reap where they never sowed. Their graduates a so stupid they cannot create jobs for themselves unless others employ and train them.

We live in a global village. Ghana is part of that village. Varsities in Ghana should be charging even less because their outputs are not among the world best. They charge more for their own pockets. It must stop now.
