For some time now, I have not been a great fan of Mahama but don't insult the Prez here. He is the Prez alright and the onus lies on the head that wears the crown. Yet what the people are doing is the communual spirit that I grew up to meet. The government has to do a lot but the community can do much. When we talk about pupils studying under trees, it saddens me that they have been failed by the government which continues to lie to them. However, I ask myself how many of the people sleep under trees? Even if the school is built by a community and it is thatched with bamboo roofing, it is better. Why can't communities come togather and put up simple structures to cater for themselves? Yet if were a Church harvest or going to Mecca, we could get a great lot of them making donations or paying huge sums of money for the Pilgrimage. Did the prophet Mohammed not speak about taking care of responsibilities before going to the Mecca Pilgrimage to moslems? Let the community spirit rise up again and take care of what the government cannot do, has failed us or lied to us.

Was it the community that provided the boreholes or the government? And whose responsibility is it to maintain the boreholes? A more responsible reportage will reveal that government provided the boreholes, and that it is the community's responsibility to maintain it. So why wait for them to break down and spend energy on dugouts instead of pooling resources to repair the boreholes? More quality reporting needed!

I think things like boreholes should not be the responsibility of the government at all because going back to the good Old Book - Bible it is very crystal clear stated that Patriarch Abraham dug his own well for his family and their flocks. This is way back in the early centuries when civilization was not as it is today. Communities should come together, tap the best brains among them and use it to their advantage. Should we sit down and fold our hands and expect everything to be provided by the government? Absolutely not. Anyway, don't get me wrong, I am not inclined to any political party in Ghana but we have to use our brains to solve petty problems and leave the mountain ones to the government. Njoy the day buddy.

I do agree with u bro,but looking at our vast natural resources should we come to this?Just imagine at this 21 century some schools in the rural areas still study under trees.Who do I vent my anger to bro,the school children, the chief of the village, the parents who sent their kids to school or the govt?Obviously the govt, because they find money for less important things at expense of the pressing needs of the people. If the rabbit can not run fast let him make way for the tortoise simple. If this ruling govt finds itself not in a position to meet the challenges of the masses, then let them make way for another.

I sympathize with you wholeheartedly of the governments inability to use tax payers money wisely and to their benefit. Some social programs are to be put up by the government no question about that. However, we have been dormant ourselves for so long that common borehole waters should not be part of government's business. Like I said earlier, if Patriarch Abraham was able to dig a borehole in the ancient times, why can't we in this 21st century do likewise or more than that? Simple put, we are not using our God's gifted brains.
I can tell you that in any field of study under this planet, we have a Ghanaian Doctorate Degree Holder but what have they do to help our society? All that we are seeing from these people is that they are able to use their pens to rob the society and leave the weaker links to total economic and social annihilation. Njoy the night.

Try to, at least, be at par with them.
