Indeed, this is a educational system that broken and rotten.Senior JSS products can't even fill out simple job application forms.
The professors that we produce are just paper professors with no practical solutions to the very problems that the country is currently embroiled in.
All they do is talk, talk and talk.... like that stupid so-called professor, Amoako-Baah.

In a country where youth and/or graduate unemployment rate is an unspeakable number, the least you can do is to rush students out of school to pour on the streets. They said we needed graduates who would be in sync with our economy. Nonsense, who said we could not have done that by developing NVTI, Technical schools and Polytechnics alongside GCE? And why did they all, including the advocates like Jerry Rawlings, send their children to schools in the UK to write GCE. He even has a private tutor at home to prepare Ezenator for GCE. You only have to look on our streets to see what damage the (P)NDC has caused to the country. See how many "in-sync" graduates they have poured on the streets selling mobile phone "top ups"

Education these days is nothing. Its whom you know. If you know how to read n write, how to be active and direct; that's it. Diplomas, Masters, n PhD's in most cases slow you down to get what you want. You need to swallow pride in other to join the band wagon. Your Ghanaian certificate don't buy a shit...remember that. "ITS WHOM YOU KNOW n NOT WHAT YOU KNOW" wofa Kwame, what you know is irrelevant. This is the world we live in. It's in everywhere, and it's universal anthem, so be nice people now for you don't know whom you are going to meet in future.

But they are the kings and gueens in out mist . whatever they is right and we hear them in our law hoiuses or to put it right paliament.
People u exppect to know much and talk sense talk as kids sometimes even the kids talk sese than them. Yet because we think they have got such education we takje them to be right in thier heads.
When students only read the text books just to pass thier examantions and nothing eles they become stale. They can' t think . In our county every speaks the same english and one word means one word only.
Is this not a pity???

UNLESS THESE PROFESSORS, LECTURERS AND TEACHERS ARE PAID ON '''PERFORMANCE''TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC COMPETENCE,THE NATION WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE THESE TYPE OF GRADUATES FOR NON SCIENTIFIC INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE COUNTRY.
DON'T BLAME THE STUDENTS AND GRADUATES, THE FAULT OF OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IS TO BE FOUND ON
THE POOR QUALITY OF TEACHERS,PROFESSORS, LECTURERS AT OUR PRIMARY SECONDARY,VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL SCHOOLS AND HIGHER INSTITUTIONS.

A little boy comes home from school one day and asks his dad if he can explain the difference between theory and reality to him.
The Dad questions why and the kid says "it's for school, can you just help me out?"
The dad thinks for second and then says, "ok, what I want you to do is go upstairs and ask your mom and your sister if they'd sleep with a stranger for $1,000,000"
The kid says, "what?" And Dad says "just do it, it'll help me explain."
So the kid goes upstairs, asks and walks back down.
Dad: did you do it? Kid: yeah Dad: Well what'd they say? Kid: well, they both said yes Dad: okay so, in theory we'd have a $1,000,000, but in reality we're living with a couple of whores.

WHY DO WE HAVE ALL THESE FOREIGN MISSIONS ABROAD? IF WE ARE BEREFT OF IDEAS TO PUSH OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM FORWARD, WHY NOT LET THESE INSTITUTIONS ABROAD UNDERSTUDY THAT OF OTHER ADVANCED COUNTRIES, THUS CREATING A RESOURCE POOL THAT HELPS OUR PROFESSORS TO COME OUT WITH A STANDARD EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM FOR GHANA?
IT LOOKS LIKE THE PROBLEM LIES WITH THE SYSTEM WE INHERITED FROM THE BRITISH. THE PNDC TRIED TO CHANGE IT, BUT DID THEY CONSULT OUR EDUCATIONAL EXPERTS ON THE FIELD AND THOSE RETIRED FOR THEIR INPUT, OR IT WAS JUST SOME WHISKEY-DRINKING FOOLS WHO SAT DOWN AT A ROUND TABLE AND CAME UP WITH SOME STINKY IDEAS THAT CULMULATED INTO JSS/SSS WHICH THEY EVENTUALLY DUMPED ON THE WHOLE NATION?
GHANA AS AT NOW ONLY PRODUCES ENGLISH-SPEAKING PEOPLE. GO ELSEWHERE AND THE NATIONALS COMING OUT OF SCHOOL SPEAK AT LEAST THREE FOREIGN LANGUAGES.
MOST GHANAIANS MIGRATING TO LIVE ABROAD, ESPECIALLY IN NON-ENGLISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES ONLY BEGIN TO LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE BECAUSE THEY NEED IT TO SURVIVE IN THOSE COUNTRIES.
I PERSONALLY WENT TO A SECONDARY SCHOOL IN GHANA WHERE FRENCH WAS TAUGHT, BUT NO STUDENT IN THE END TOOK IT TO THE O' LEVEL. I GUESS THIS IS HAPPENING IN MOST SCHOOLS AT THE SSS LEVEL NOW.
WE SERIOUSLY NEED AN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS THAT TAKES CARE OF ALL THESE THINGS, BE IT IN A VOCATIONAL, TECHNICAL, BUSINESS OR SECONDARY SCHOOL LEVEL. THEN TALK ABOUT THE POLY-TECHNICS, TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGES AND OTHER HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
OTHERWISE, OUR POSTERITY COMING OUT OF GHANA ARE NO MATCH ON THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE; ONLY GOOD-FOR-GHANA-MENTALITY PRODUCTS, EVEN IF THEY HAVE PH.D.

The minister of education is bereft of ideas. Why can she tell the president in his face that education in Ghana has collapsed? We pretend as a people for political reasons that everything is working well yet ministers and their deputies are serouly studying outside the country and no one can talk about it. Very soon teachers in Ghana will write examination questions on the board for pupils to write their end of term. Heads are informed not to charge exams fees yet capitation grants are equally in arrears as other statutory payments. Students in the northern part have to sit back till previous term feeding grants are paid. Why Mr president. Which of your children schools in Ghana?
