They also have to protect their lives. I will agree that they should have shot the legs so that he would have been alive but if it is true that he struggled with them over a weapon, then the soldiers' alternative was right. Curfew means curfew.

the soldiers were trained to eliminate any danger facing them. i think they were deployed there to protect the town or to stop more killings. sometimes stubbornness can lead us to our death. my he rest in peace.

This statement, "According to the director of public affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Aggrey Quarshie the deceased rushed into his room and came out with a cutlass, but when the soldiers tried to overpower him, he also tried seizing one of their weapons then it triggered leading to his death.", by their PRO, suggest that they are telling the truth.
