What a grossly misleading headline? The article clearly indicates that the Nigerian government intends to engage with the South African government on possibly compensating Nigerian citizens who might have lost their assets or businesses due to the evil acts of the barbaric murderers and thugs in South Africa. How then does that come to mean that the Nigerian government is the one that will compensate its citizens? Here's a statement of the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, contain in the article:
"We have situations where some of our people lost their shops in this attack. "We are taking stock of the damages done to them and we are going to be engaging the South African Government," Senator Obanikoro

Why should Nigeria pay for South Africa's intolerance of his black foreigners? Nigeria should not set a bad precedent even if the compensation can be afforded. Does the minister know whether the violence will erupt again or not? Make South Africa compensate the victims in order to deter future violence against black foreigners.
