Ever heard of bmo stadium, Gillette stadium, Hershey stadium,.emirates stadium etc. Wat will naming the stadium after dead mills do for the residents and for community economic development for the city of.cape coast? I told.this dumb mahama govt.to invest in a library museum for President mills in his hometown. That alone will lead to some sort of.development for the town. The Site will become a national historical heritage treasure which will generate income, jobs and even empower youths from that region in Ghana. We said and said and this stupid govt didn't listen and went and bury him in dirty, stinky accra. Idiots! What economic benefit will naming the stadium after mills bring to the community? I hate fools!

We need money to improve our sports performance.Why don't we get a big company to sponsor the stadium and let it pay for a 5 year period.An example is Emirates Stadium in London generates huge bucks for Arsenal.Having a stadium which does not genrate money and sporting success will end up being a white elephant.Remember we need to maintain it and i don't think the name will do so. Soccer City also in South Africa has FNB a big bank linked to it which generates money to mange it.

Your argument is based on private stadia. When it comes to stadia owned by the state they aren't named after companies, otherwise Wembley would have been named McDonalds stadium!!!

Building and maintaining are 2 different things.Maintaining stadiums are not cheap and can a big economic drainer if we refuse to think out of the box.You can not continue to use the tax payers monies to maintain stadia.Stadiums today is business by itself all over the globe that is why they are named after reputable corporate entities such as banks to run them but if naming it after Mills,Kuffuor,JJ,Nkrumah etc will not bring in the required cash needed to run it and with time everything will run down.You all saw what happened to our state hotels,Ghana Airways etc.that mindset of whatever belongs to Aban belongs to Mr Nobody and all past to present regimes have travelled that route with negative results as the years fly by.It's initially great but very short lived.In this era of civilization govt wanting to be owner of everything just does not cut it so please think out of the box.Those who will advocate for govt ownership in everything are those who want to chop chop because it is easier to chop chop that away case in point Ghana Airways and Black Starlines Shipping and State Hotels.Yes I like Mills,JJ,Kuffuor,Nkrumah etc.but not put their names or such things that involves constant maintenance.There are other things that do not demand huge or constant maintenance that is ok to name after any of the former Presidents but not Stadia,Hotels,Airways etc.

Name the stadium after Goal Keeper Robert Mensah. This is a good suggestion which will mimic the naming of Kumasi stadium after one of Ghana's legend footballers Baba Yara. Robert Mensah deserves this honor.
