Age has nothing to do with one’s ability to her work. what should be looking for , from this position are one ability to be unbiased • unprejudiced, neutral, nonpartisan, nondiscriminatory • disinterested, detached, dispassionate, objective, open-minded, equitable, evenhanded, fair, fair-minded, just • without favoritism, without fear or favor, treating all rivals and or disputants equally.
Also, whoever ends up with this position should be competent. I stress on competency because this incompetent President has a trend of appointing incompetent officials

There has never been a shortage of credentials in Ghana's stock of human resources. But what happens when you put these people in a position of trust to apply their trade for the betterment of our country. What is the true makeup of Ghanaian intellectuals, and why is it that most intellectuals fail on the job. There were numerous shortfalls in Dr. Afari Gyan's long tenure at the helm of this highly sensitive position, but thanks to the good counsel of our leaders, and our predisposed apathy toward violence, our country would have degenerated into a civil war or some sort of violence under his watch.
Ghana like many other African nations is not immune to violence and that is why the choice of a competent successor to Afari Gyan is most welcome. It time to give a woman this highly sensitive position, and I have no doubt Mrs. Osei's credentials speak for itself.

this job needs a man with a strong head, there is too mush intimidation involved and a woman can not handle that.Afari Djan would have suffered a heart attack by now if he was a woman.

OP/LONDON. You are wrong on the gender issue. Have you also considered that most men feel uncomfortable intimidating a woman?

Amadu Sule is seriously lobbying for the position of the next EC boss throught the Sokoto Caliphate. That is what sent the INEC boss Atahiru Jega to Ghana to come lobby persuade some top Ghanaian officials to help appoint Sule Amadu. Read what Jega said on Adom FM: "...getting someone Dr. Afari-Gyan may have mentored could be good for Ghana".
You see, Muslims are having a hidden agenda. Ghanaians must beware of them.
