  Political parties in power in Ghana tend to reward some communities and leave out others. This is usually based on ethnicity or votes garnered.
  
  Some communities have had this problem since Independence. A certain phenomenon can now be observed in our communities. This is major cause of emigration.

  Why hasn't the government called the South African High Commissioner to demand an explanation? If the disgraceful behavior had occurred in Europe there would have been a huge public reaction. Many years ago (I think it was in 1995) a Ghanaian friend of mine visited S Africa while living in Europe. He was the only black in the group.He happened to be the leader of the delegation of professionals. I will never forget his words when he recounted his two week experience in South Africa. He said with tears in his eyes: "Black people in South Africa may no longer be under apartheid but they still need to be liberated in their spirits and minds". I remember how strange it was when he informed me that he had more rapport with the white South Africans he met there than the blacks. He also encountered discrimination from black South Africans.
