Political parties in power tend to reward communities they like and ignore others. This is usually based on ethnicity or votes garnered. In constituencies that they lost they only provide scholarships and monthly stipends to migrant ethic groups which they believe voted for them.
Some communities have had this problem since Independence. A certain phenomenon can now be observed in our society.

The write up didn't highlight anything serious from the summit as well as the policy. This reflects how the succeeding governments have lost hold on employment and job creations. Ghana's employments are for party A and party Z members. Forgetting that God does not separate its rain and air. It is the same rain that grows and swells every beautious vegetation. Please think about broader base and not the cronyism

I was shocked to hear of a disturbing development of dismissal of a young doctor from the Ghana health Service with a frivolous excuse of him suffering a mental illness. The content of the letter signed by the Director General Dr.Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira and copied to then Health Minister Alban Bagbin amazingly described the young practitioner as suffering a 'possible delusional disorder'. The letter stated further that the doctor will remain indefinitely suspended without salary until he submits himself for compulsory assessment and treatment.Other checks revealed it was a conspiracy action borne out of animosity against the doctor by his superiors because of differences.Letters revealed the doctor copiously writing on corruption and maltreatment in Effia Nkwanta hospital where he previously worked. This is a clear case of a public organization run as a corporate private entity in which top civil servants blatantly trample on the rights of subordinates with impunity. It also shows that Ghana's public labour environment is a mere slave-master relationship far worse than the private sector where the youth are at the mercy of wicked bosses. The youth in this Country have had their labour rights seriously violated with drastic consequences sometimes.Male workers are always the ones worse hit because they cannot offer sexual favours for lustful and immoral bosses as an alternative incentive when there is a labour crisis usually provoked by a domineering and autocratic leader treating workers as if they were slaves. The story of a young lady contracting HIV/AIDS because she had to sleep with somebody for a job in a public institution despite well qualified tells of the gross violation of labour rights in public institutions. If the Ghana Health Service can ignore a letter from the National Labour Commission with the powers of a high court requesting an explanation from the Medical Director of the said hospital to sack a doctor with impunity then we have a big problem in this country.Simply put we have flawed labour laws existing in theory that cannot be applied in reality exposing the Ghanaian worker to all manner of abuse and maltreatment sometimes very dehumanizing. To implicate a medical practitioner with a mental illness without bases and sack him on grounds of personal vendetta and animosity by his superiors with knowledge of the Health Ministry, Employment and Labour Ministry and the National labour Commission tells of the story in this Country's public institutions in particular and what the average Ghanaian worker goes through. The worse scenario is when the case is being gag up in court to protect the culprits of this heinous crime, denying the poor doctor of his fundamental human rights in the process just because they are high profile persons involving top civil servants and politicians.
