Doc, I disagree. You are making an emotional sentiment. Stick to tried snd tested methods and stick with them, .consistently. Don't take your foot.off the pedal, no favors. That's the only way to rid ghana off this parasite called.Corruption.
*SOLUTION:
1. Corruption Sensitivity Training: Educate the executives(attorney general, the judges, public officials, immigration, police officers)about the short, long term effects and impacts of corruption. Corruption Sensitivity Training should be a mandatory part of interview process, class, testing requirement for all ministers and public sector officials. Make them aware of the consequences and have them sign off on this. If judges, police officers, employees are educated and made to understand the explicit and implicit impacts of corruption and how it affects their own salaries, bonuses etc. Things will change!
2. Enforce the Law: Offenders must face jail time, tickets/fines, sell assets to payback what has been stolen, name and shame offenders in media
3. Put ethical persons in positions of power,
4. yearly revenue audits brief
5.NPP: Narcotic & Pharmaceutical Party, NDC: National Dealers of Corruption(Price Inflators of the national budget, safety pin, toothpick, kenkey, oil, mbaa dross)

I beg to differ with my esteemed senior from Opoku Ware Secondary School. What he says here is coming out of anger and frustration.
I will refer him to all the killings done by JJ Rawlings and his PNDC 1, PNDC 2 & NDC 1 & NDC 2 ostensibly to eradicate bribery and corruption from government and our state institutions.
In fact, what he ended up doing is that he trained the CADRES of the PNDC & NDC of today. These CADRES are the rulers of the country today.
We are worse off today than we were, some 35 years ago.
You do not need a Ghost to come from the Dodowa Forest to tell you, these CADRES are the true nation wreckers.
DO YOU KNOW HOW WEALTHY JJ & HIS CADRES ARE ?
Killing Humans is outrageous and must be prevented at all times. We have prisons all around the country.
Here is how we can start eradicating evil from our society. Herein lies that path to prosperity.
Democracy cannot be successful in its mission unless the people rouse themselves to become more informed and involved; unless they unite with one purpose; unless they establish an unshakable force for justice and KEEP A STRICT EYE ON THE ACTIVITIES OF THE POWERFUL.

Going into farming by the Youth is good but there are two problems that I want my senior help to address:
1) Initial capital to acquire land and farming inputs is unavailable even though there are always rethorics from Government about availability of funds for the youth to go into farming,
2) Those of us who ventured into farming are not getting market for our produce. A classical example is we were lured into citrus farming by Government when She announced that she was going to put up fruit processing factory in every region. Now we are knashing our teeth in Brong Ahafo for venturing into it.
Can we adopt the Ivorian model where farm produce are purchased at the farm gate and paid for by either state institutuion and or companies whilst the farmer concentrates on the production only?

There may not be any tomorrow to talk about what could have been. The time unfortunately is now to have a sensible dialogue about a nagging national issue regardless of political affiliation. At one time you feel it is kindness but it is corruption. You may feel you giving a helping hand but it turns to be corruption.
You may gift someone and it is corruption.
You could be sympathetic enough and it leads you into corruption.
What might be viewed by someone may not be viewed by the majority, so what do you do?
Then today's perception of corruption may not be one tomorrow but you have aleeady executed so what do you do.

Those that refused are barred from office or politics.
The problem is that (and people won't admit it) is that everyone in Ghana, politicians, police, local government, public sector, airport staff, security men, chiefs etc etc takes bribes and want to continue to. When those who have lived outside or born outside raise this issue then they are told to take they are being too known.

Very good suggestion but we need to do more to make your plan effective. Among other things we need to make sure every citizen is identifiable with a social security number, mandatory that every birth or death is registered and the IRS is purged of all corruption and turned into a very robust and truly independent state institution. The freedom of information bill presently held hostage in parliament should be passed without further delay and framed in such a way as to make the people's business transparent as can be. We can look at models from other countries that have this law working effectively for them. After all is said and done there has to be a serious punishment to act as a deterrent to offenders.

The people's revolt is very necessary especially if there is noticeable dragging of feet from the executive and the legislative arms of government. Agreeing on the commencement date for the new law will introduce more bottle necks and cause further delay, probably stall its passage into law indefinitely. When that happens we have to punish the executive and legislative branches of government who are found to be foot dragging with the new bill at the polls. As to the time to begin this new legislation it has to take immediate effect from the day it's passed. We have to forgive the past but not forget it. Let's leap into the immediate future with renewed hope and optimism.

Some 36 years ago someone called Jerry John Rawlings emerged from no where with arms and did the same thing that this so called doctor proposed- killed people for today's Gh5.00 which was 50,000 cedis then. He killed for having houses, stores factories because according to him those people were corrupt. It is not killing, I think we have to appeal to the conscience of every Ghanaian to change his/her attitude. For example you may get a minister today to kill but the clerk in the office who is also doing a similar thing but in a small way will not be killed. We are all corrupt in this country, we have to change our attitude.

For the examples he cites to support his argument for developing the agriculture sector in Ghana, this idiot DOES NOT seem to understand that the various investments in those countries were put together by private citizens, not by the government. He is talking the talk but when is he going to walk the walk? How much money is he willing to inject into the Ghanaian economy?
Yes, he's partnered up with Western Union and they are stealing money from the poor immigrant trying to send money home, right? When will guys like him be interested in producing something instead of the "to na ton" Ghanaian syndrome?

China has not built it's trillions of dollar reserves with a gov't that saw plain thievery and looting as a strong policy to be adopted in building those reserves.
If they had adopted the Mahama NDC gov't policy of plain theft and looting, those reserves would never have been built ever.
The policy was to execute speedily the corrupted, and it continues to this day, and investing in the sectors of their economy that ensures growth, and the results have paid off.
Today, China is an economic powerhouse with some predicting it to be in contention to be the next superpower.
With Ghana's level of corruption now palpably genomic, ie built into the DNA of the political players most especially the NDC party and gov't, which surprisingly burst onto the governance scene through the barrel of the gun, ostensibly to fight this canker of purported corruption in the late 70's and early 80's specifically 1979 and 1981, but has now tipped the scales of this very canker within the whole sub-region, the "China way" at first glance seems the most ideal, and it is understandable because it is borne out of frustration.
Recent events in Nigeria's elections have shown that, there is an increasing and growing trend of the masses towards the charting of a different path and course, very faraway from corruption, looting and plunder by ushering in incorruptible leadership that would rigourously pursue the tenets of officially sanctioned albeit unwritten policy of corruption within the democratic space as is being exemplified under the Mahama-led NDC gov't.
Ghana is on the threshold of such a notable feat, and it needs to be encouraged since it promises to be the most forward looking and most precise fixed approach towards systematically peeling off the cloak of corruption that has caused the retrogression and stagnation of our development objectives within the context of a democracy and the rule of law, with the careful and principled application of the statutes enshrined to promote the principle of corruption being a very unrewarding objective and thrust of governance.
It should be encouraged because therein lies hope for the vulnerable Ghanaian, and a restoration in the belief of the tenets of democracy and politics, as a platform for the promotion of the greater public good defined by principles, incorruptibility, unalloyed service for the wellbeing of mankind.

Which Ghanaian couple did you steal Western Union from? Is the court case finished in the USA?
Should Kuffuor and the 29 cabinet Ministers of the Kuffuor regime which Osafo Maafo testified in the criminal case, The Republic v Alfred Woyome that he was one against all the other cabinet ministers in the corruption act in bringing the Chinese who were non bidders of CAN 2008?
You and Kuffuor went to Barclays Bank and collected over $100m and gave to the Shanghai group before any contract was signed. The contract which did not go to Parliament for approval. We should go and collect that money too as it contravenes Article 181.5 of the Ghanaian Constitution and against the procurement law. WHAT IS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL DOING TO COLLECT OUR MONEY FROM THE SHANGHAI GROUP?
In your capacity as the Local Organising Committee Chairman you were a government official and your rather bizarre letter to Osafo Maafo /OB Amoah to sidestep the procurement process of CAN 2008, and to which they refused in another letter to you and conveyed your behaviour in another cabinet memo was brought to the court by a court order in the Woyome trial. This must qualify you for EXECUTION. I blame the NDC that you are still alive and breathing air.
