  Had it been Ghana, we won't even play in the 2023 edition. But our own semi-literates came out openly supporting Morocco when they refused to host it, giving excuses with forgotten wars of the 1940s.

You and I know that 80% of people from Sub-Sahara Africa would be pretending to go watch AFCON and use it as a stepping stone to travel to Europe, USA and Canada. Let stop being ostrich and face the truth. 200 of Ghanaians football fans request asylum in Brazil do you even know how many would have asked for the same if Morocco had hosted it.

  Morocco is expensive. No one would have been able to go without decent funds. Such people would be unlikely to use AFCON to go to Europe.

  Morocco is expensive. No one would have been able to go without decent funds. Such people would be unlikely to use AFCON to go to Europe.
  As for Equatorial Guinea, it is another expensive place so this limited the amount of people who could actually go. The stands were mostly filled up by the locals who were given free tickets.
  
  My point is that visa control and expense of the trip prevents the Ebola spread so Morocco was not justified in not hosting. Moreover, so many Africans already transit through the airport in Cassablanca so the so called Ebola risk was already there. Morocco selfishly chose the European tourist dollar over AFCON. They should be excluded from 2017. A message needs to be sent but unfortunately, that will not happen.

  When the Togolese team decided not to play Afcon matches after their bus was attacked and some of them gunned down, CAF banned them for their refusal to participate. No-one gave Togo a relief. But when Morocco decide to unilaterally forgo hosting the Afcon for fear of Ebola, they have been pardoned. What kind of "justice" is being exhibited? Only in the Banana Republic of Africa can this happen. Corruption reigns everywhere. Shame unto CAF.
