Ghanains and title. it's so funny that a hobbyist who glides or flies a hot air balloon could be titled as a pilot. Our low expectation environment which never allowed us to innovate is the result of all these brain-dead analyses.
But again is it only oyibo gliding to the amazement of backward Ghanains? Sure in the minds of these Ghanaians, oyibo is an angel to be able to fly. And the homo oyibo is there to recruit.? lol
Oh Ghana where did you go so wrong.
This is not our innovation. The material or gears are not made in Ghana and are not sold by Ghanaians. The oyibo freaks taking advantage of our tall hills and mountains without any permission and started this gliding and we became an automatic spectators without making or contributing anything to it.
The whites control it and make more money out of it than we do. They organize it through their websites and magazines in Europe and seek big sponsorships for it in Europe, make the big profit and come and use our pristine environment to set it off without Ghana tourism making any of those profit apart from local hotels that house them for only two days,
The people of Kwahu will always go to Kwahu on easter so let's face it how much the gliding is bringing in to the town.
Each oyibo has to be charged $5000 before setting up to glide because you wouldn't believe how much millions corporate EU would put behind this of which Ghana is getting crumbs thru cheap local motels who charge $400 for two days and think they've made it.

Interesting. But the reporter could have done the people of Kwahu the honor of promoting their towns and villages. For example where exactly does the flights take off? Where is the landing area? Where exactly does the street carnivals take place? What is the name of the second highest mountain referred to in the story. And etc...etc. I believe all these informations are vital for first time visitors.
Reporters must always do background check before publishing stories of public interest.

When NDC came to power they cancelled the paragliding festival because NPP introduced it. Now they have accepted the superior brains of NPP. And to the writer, the word is "Kwahu" and not "Kwehu". JSS journalists.
