The arrogance and annoyance of Kwadwo Basia Asiedu Nketia is beyond measure. I can see that all of a sudden they are the ones quaking in their kaba shirts and coats following the defeat of the lethargic, ineffective and corrupt Jonathan regime in Nigeria.

The parallels between Jonathan and Mahama goes beyond just having the same umbrella for party logo or symbol. Both came to power following the death of presidents under whom they were serving as vice-presidents. Both branded themselves as being young. Both are incumbents facing an election for their second term. So if anything shouldn't it be John Mahama who should emulate Jonathan rather than Nana Addo in 2016? Jonathan has set history for being the first incumbent to lose an election, probably anywhere in Africa. John Mahama will be next, insha Allah.

Nana Addo hasn't said much since the elections in Nigeria but already the fools are coming out of the NDC woodwork. Nkwaseafuo and Akronfuo is what NDC has in abundance. They can't use the age factor anymore so now they have to spin nonsense for their fan base, but it is not going to wash. Nana Addo has many qualities that parallels Buhari, the highest of which are honsety, integrity and incorruptibility or unbribable, and that is what the people responded to in Nigeria and so shall it be in Ghana in 2016. It is a known fact that the corrupt elements are scared stiff by the prospects of Akufo Addo presidency for they know their sorry asses will be standing in docks in courts.

If there are any lessons to be learnt from Jonathan's courage and statesmanship in calling Buhari to concede defeat and congratulating him earlier, then it should be for 2016. In that case the warning or advice should go to both Nana Akufo-Addo and President Mahama who is most likely to be the NDC flagbearer for 2016 and not only Akufo-Addo. What Jonathan did has never happened in Ghana since the Fourth Republic and that is a shame for Ghana. Nigeria has beaten Ghana to it.

Jonathan has secured his name in the history books by his courageous act of conceding defeat and calling his opponent to congratulate him on his victory even before the official declaration by INEC. This is something that all politicians in Africa must emulate.

Dr. Mills congratulated Mr. Kuffour and conceded defeat even when some were telling him not to until he has made sure of the tally. Nana has never done that, he did not concede to Dr. Mills and he has not conceded to Mr. Mahama. Such behavior does not help national building. At least let Nana learn from Al Gore.

Who called for war and called on the NDC supporters to besiege the EC's office in 2008 when the results of the elections were being released?

Does Gen. Mosquito think NDC has a sole right and monopoly to violent behaviour and no one else has?

They should wait and try anything silly in 2016 to rig the election as they did in 2012 and see the sort of resistance they will face.

It can only take someone who is truly out of it, to wear women's clothes and pants, sit in the midst of men who are wearing what men are supposed to wear, and not find anything wrong with it, and seek to justify it. That is to put it mildly sanity in reverse.
There is nothing to be shy about these things and matters. Asiedu Nketia needs help and the NDC party needs to come to his aid.
In this scenario, GEJ the incumbent President lost, and for added emphasis again, he was the incumbent and he LOST.
Unless this is an indirect shot and salvo at incumbent John Dramani Mahama to suggest to him not to waste Ghana's and his own NDC party's time, when his imminent defeat at the ballot box is handed to him in 2016, then we are afraid, Johnson Asiedu Nketia aka General Mosquito of the National Democratic Congress is officially out. Honestly, the guy is out.
There's no way he can make such a claim looking at the circumstances involving GEJ and GMB. The analogy is just not there, it is completely illogical, it has no relevance and for goodness sake, the NDC party should help Johnson Asiedu Nketia. It is becoming dangerous.

From some of the answers given by the EC(Dr Afari Gyan) during the electoral petition,one could easily infer that the 2012 presidential election was rigged by the incumbent NDC.
eg: to a question,the EC(Afari Gyan) said he did not know how some paper materials were printed,etc.Remember !
Again,when the election results started to pour in as shown on the national TV, and after the then general Secretary(Sir John) of NPP announced to supporters to get ready for celebration, then all of a Sudden, the national TV blacked out for some time.When telecasts resumed, some Figures were altered from nowhere to the advantage of incumbent.All these are conclusive proof that the 2012 presid elections was rigged by the incumbent.I personally suspected at the time that the NDC used Cyber technology(techniques) to annihilated the figures to manipulate them.
I had that suspicion from the moment it happened on that very day. Since then to this day, I have been monitoring Ghanaweb, if any of the NPP Executives or members has the "Cyber techniques" Suspicion, but no- one has said anything of the sort to this day. Please open your minds and eyes.
That may be one of the reasons why Asiedu Nketia could be Sure of a Win for the NDC in 2016. Anyway.

Again the loopholes in the Ghana Constitution if corrected could avert Electoral Petition in the future.For example: I do not think there's any clause in the Constitution which restrain the EC from declaration of a Winner until investigations is conducted in a situation where a particular party with about 30 percent of total Votes Casted, or a group of political party opponents with a combined total of 30-35 percent of total Votes Casted raised an objection to the results announced.
The Constitution should provide or have a Clause which empowers any Attorney/lawyer not below the level of a Appeals Court Judge or Supreme Court Judge to issue a restraining Order within minutes to about 2 hours to restrain the EC to declare a Winner.
It's worthy to note that in the circumstance,there's nothing like Court Sit at 10:am or today is -Saturday or Sunday,so until Court is opened on Monday.... NO !
The issuance of that kind of restraining order should be flexible and could be issued even from the Bedroom,if you like,any time of the day.It could be at dawn( 2 or 3 am) it does not matter.
Having said that,in a situation of objections raised;the EC tells you to go to Court but goes round/ahead to declare a Winner,Gazetted by EC and- CJ, Sworn in by the Chief Justice as required by law on appointed due date. President named his Cabinet, other Ministerial appointment and Public Office portfolios all duly offered and at post,gov't Business in full swing for some months before the so called Electoral Petition was head by the Supreme Court for a period of about 8 extra months,is not healthy democratic dispensation, a true -Justice denied strategic procedures and gross administrative inefficiencies were employed which favors the incumbent.I have not heard of anywhere in the World where a Winner declared by the EC has been overturned by Court after about 8 months.Of course that may create total confusion in the Country.Where did the NPP,or a Ghanaian heard that !
So the E/Petition was dead on arrival. So I don't see how the Supreme Court of the Country could have done any better than what they did.
The mistake is in the Constitution,and not with the Supreme Court in my personal opinion.
(I stand corrected if the Constitution provided for such swiftly restrained order or clause in the Constitution).
