  • SARPONG 9 years ago

If the lack of electricity is due to over population then China and India must be worse than Ghana.

  • John 9 years ago

The problem is not bcos of over-population it all due to lack of money to invest. Both China & India have the same problem but they've money to invest to get power, they even import from Russia who have excess.

  • SARPONG 9 years ago

China has no electricity problem but India has a electricity problems and apart from cities like New Delhi, Bombay and Calcutta, load shedding is part of Indians daily life.

Dumsor will forever remain in the history of Ghana. If our energy requirement is 2080 megawatts and we are only able to get 1564 megawatts, who gives us the remaining 516 megawatts representing 24.8% ?

  • SARPONG 9 years ago

Micheal, we have the capacity to generate 2820 megawatts every day to meet our needs and still have close to 800 megawatts remaining.

The problem is that we don't have the money to buy gas to power our thermal plants but t ...
