What a despicable act!.
Let the Law take its course.
However, what about those who gave the bribes? Should the Law not take them to task? If the court does that it will discourage people from trying to influence Public Officials for favours. Further, Public Officials who want to involve themselves in those things will also think twice! Yes, I know people might think I am naive by even thinking about this but if we do not start from somewhere, our society WILL NEVER be SANE!I hope the Ghana High Commission in Malaysia recorded the Programme on the Funeral of the former Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew, in order to learn from how he was able to transform this island city state into a metropolis with anti-corruption principles as part of its foundational values. Yes, we are not saints but there should be a basic level of expectation that our Public Officials will live a life of probity, accountability and honesty. We CANNOT AFFORD TO GIVE UP ON THIS!
