The African Development Bank (AfDB) has come out to state categorically that they erroneously included Ghana with a group of countries under sanctions before them on the 17th February, 2015. Realising their terrible mistake, they quickly corrected that mishap on the 18th February, the very next day since Ghana, they claimed, is honouring her obligations to them accordingly.

Now, the desperados by which Kofi Bloomberg Mahamudu Bawumia is the second in command, can't take the correction on the matter vividly stated before all and have to go out on a limb like always to propagate falsehood to suit their agenda any which way necessary. Some may say the AfDB is telling a lie to save face on behalf of the NDC party.

Really!

Well, if that is the case, then isn't African Development Bank Group (AfDB) shooting her own foot with the classic silver bullet by painting it rosy in the name of Ghana under this administration whilst the Mahama-led government keeps defaulting on their obligations before the very AfDB? Amazing statistics coming only from the chest of the NPP's camp.

In this case, Ghana did not make payment in June 2014 and also in January 2015. That is why Ghana was suspended. It possible that the June 2014 payment was made and the suspension was lifted after the memo was written. Let us see what happens in July 2015.

The insistence of Daily Guide to prove Dr. Bawumia correct over the AfDB alleged sanctions against Ghana is not only exposing the Paper as deliberately deepening the partisan rancor between the NPP and Administration but also hurting the nation's economic outlook to the World.

After the AfDB denied the existence of those sanctions and claimed to have made an error publishing anything to suggest Ghana was among the sanctioned list, the Paper should have let the argument on the country's inclusion on the list end there.

The Paper seems to be more interested in scoring some political, partisan points than protecting Ghana's little Economic image left.

That is grossly unpatriotic. Whatever the AfDB has admitted to is what must prevail in this circumstance. Period.

Dr. Bawumia showed his prowess of being on top of our Economic issues by catching the momentary inclusion of Ghana on the list, whether by error or duly but he might have failed to catch the correction of removing Ghana off the list. If he suspects that there is any collusion between the AfDB and the Mahama's Administration to keep Ghana off the list he must then take on the AfDB, and the Daily Guide may have to encourage him to do so.

But I strongly believe that the AfDB cannot exclusively give Ghana a false report to save the Government's image in its confrontation with the Opposition. Dr. Bawumia must be careful or he could jeopardize his credibility, too, and drag the Daily Guide down with him.

Aawwww! Where did Dr. Bawumia come from; I just wonder? We as a nation should be thankful to the Almighty Lord for giving our nation such a precious gift. Ex-Prez. Kuffour, spotted this astute economist and statistician and convinced him to return to Ghana to help build the nation; Dr. Bawumia, as comfortable as he was in the US won't have come home by now, as many Ghanaians still believe our country isn't ready for change and improvement. Now the evidence is there for all to see. There're many Ghanaians experts in various fields of endeavour who're still hanging on to their comfortable position outside the shores of Ghana, who won't risk coming back home because of the kind of lies and bullshit going on back home. May God bless our Homeland, Ghana. Amen!
