The police cannot be trusted to change things by themselves. Politicisation of the police certainly doesn't help. Politicians are doing nothing about it because they are just as corrupt & use police for private matters

Eating at the wrong time could also be the cause of their bloated physique due to their job schedule.Anyway not all of them chop their bribes,they're putting up mansions.Just look for the mansions of all former IGP's.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

I have been wondering why most of those in Government or Government offices now wear extra flesh at the back of the napes; There was a time, we knew of "Rawlkngs Chains" starting with Mr. Rawlings himself. Now what do we see? All MPs, All Ministers, and what have you have all become so large that one wonders what they are eating and drinking.
Not too long ago, a nephew of mine drowned in the River. A report was made to the Police and the Police commander in that Station went with me to the River to see things for himself. We got to the house from where the car could not continue as there was no road to the river. So we had to walk. It was about 1.3 km. We got to the river and it was very clear the Commander of Police was VERY TIRED. When after ascertaining where the boy had jumped into the river, we started to walk back home he qu;ckly found a piece of log and sat heavily on it and was breathing so loudly that one could easily mistake him for an elephant breathing. That School children could collapse during the Independence parade is understandable but not Security Service Personnel

The IGP.is always singing to the tune of the government and is never his own man. They try to amass wealth while in position,as is happening now. How do you expect a retired officer to be the IGP when there are about ten people to choose from. Do you think they will do anything good to help him? Things must change and the sooner the better.

The Ghana Police which was metamophosed from the Gold Coast police was borne out of corruption and neither the Government from the 1st Republic nor the subsequent Governments up to date, could curb the inherent cencerious disease from spreading fast.The practice strongly begun to grow far and wide when the Military cum the police intervined with the affairs of the state, to be precice,when they continued with their advanturous coup de tats as a ploy to come out to take power from the civilian population with flimsy accusations of mismanaging the affairs of the state.It will take some one who could take the bull from the front or by the horn,to be truth,not the present IGP who with his accademic credentials behaves like the provebial woman.The endemic cancer has also found its way into the Ghana Arm Forces with the same diagnosis which needs to be takled with brutal force and be defeated once and for all.

The injustice perpetrated at the Police Stations everyday would make anyone sick. It is a tradition. But there are many good police men and women.I have met a few. My question is which institution in Ghana is not corrupt, anyway.

If you want to no how inherently corrupt the police is in Ghana wait till you have a problem with a high profile politician and or public servant.The police have been used many times by people who wilt power and wealth to intimidate and threatened the less powerful and poor.Many a time they will cook a case against you and falsely prosecute you for bribe paid by the rich.When you have a case against someone with power or wealth don't venture the police station because you will be made a scapegoat and jailed on grounds of false charges.
