I have about 40 more or less and I am sure she is the same so we will certainly cross paths somewhere the heavenly gates where money means nothing but honesty will lead any individual to a peaceful spot.Ghana should rather allow Virgin Atlantic back into our system.Tap Portugal is another waste if things wrong the passengers will lose out. It did happen to me recently Ghana Portugal to gatwick it took us 14 hours instea dof the normal 10 hrs.

Mr Minister if the airline will not be bought with taxpayers money, how are we going to get the aeroplane plan? From private sector's money? if so
1. who are those private indivuals who have agreed to buy the airline of which government is going to give incentives for their smooth operation?
2. why should government get involve in the private affairs of such indivuals?
3. Why shouldnt government allow these indivuals operate the airline as other airlines do where by government can tax them as other airlines do?
You see the "kwaku Ananse" story the minister is telling Ghanaians. If there is nothing to hide why government tell Ghanaians those private businessmen who want to buy the plane. I dont understand why government is going to select those individuals? hahaha "as3m b3 ba dabi" mean time will tell.

I hope the process of choosing which private entity to receive the Government incentives to run the National Airline would be very fair, without nepotism, or cronyism.
Crony Capitalism has done us in, just as much as Corruption in State Institutions has. We must not simply add to it by any dubious means by imposing an incompetent Company on us.
It is high time our procurement and Contract award practices were either supervised by a neutral outside Institution with global reputation, or subjected to vigorous Auditing by a similar Agency or Company.
Our System has become so corrupt that it is hard to find any Agency within the borders of the Nation that could carry out those duties in absolute fairness for the best results for the Country. Not even our Council of State is credible, anymore.
The Judiciary was supposed to be our last arbiter to ensure the interest of the Nation and all Citizens were safeguarded. But even the Chief Justice recently conceded it was infected with Corruption. So, who or what else exists within the Country that we could wholly trust to execute such nationally urgent tasks?
We thought that our leaders would run our Country well to establish our claim before Independence that we, Ghanaians, were capable of governing our own Country. 48 years plus after our Independence, we still have not been able to prove that capability.
We have by our own deliberate, self-inflicting wounds, weakened our resolve and efforts to prove that ability to rule ourselves successfully.
We must use this occasion of our Independent anniversary to reflect solemnly but objectively on our performance in governing ourselves and managing our Nation's Assets. This exercise must be devoid of sentimentalism in order to figure out exactly what we erred on to enable us design a new and more successful way forward, as one Nation and one People with diverse positive ideas for progress.
Our Partisanship and Tribal affiliations must not hinder us from succeeding as a unit. We all share the hunger for glory, a successfully developed Country and leaving the Nation much better off for our Posterity.
Let's show some dignity to ourselves by eschewing corruption and embracing diversity and hard work to build the Nation into an enviable success in our lifetime.
May the Lord bless us all!!
Long Live Ghana!!!

Government participation in industry has been an absolute failure. So why the burning desire to continue doing the same thing over and over again?
You socialists do not have any faith in the functioning of a free market where every economic activity is determined by market forces and limited corrective measures.
If Ghanaians need more airlines than they are currently the case, there will be excessive demand for air travel and the successful airlines will descend upon the Ghanaian market like vultures who have spotted a carcass from the air.If we have not seen this yet,it simply means that we are not there yet.
I am aware that Delta Airlines has stopped its direct flight from Atlanta to Accra.Presumably, there is not enough business to make it economically viable to operate it.
Granting that there is justifiable business to warrant more airlines, why not limit your activities to legislation and fiscal incentive and live the participation out when Ghanaians do not want their wound to be opened for the third time because of the distasteful experiences with Ghana Airways and Ghana International something?
The corruption has its deep roots in the SOEs.The epitome of Dr.Kwame Nkrumah's 'bright' and disastrous socialism experiment.
If posterity will most probably divest these wholly inefficient and persistently struggling SOEs,why the over-enthusiasm to give birth to them?
